This is my 3rd stick vacuum and it impressed me. The 1st one was the Xiaomi G10, which broke its rolling feet in about 1.5 years, I am using it with a brush tool only. The end one was the Viomi A9, its rolling head stopped rolling after a year (14 months).

So far so good, the only thing I noticed is that the hair antitangle is less impressive. It came with only a carpet roller. The thing looks like a Dyson and my wife hasn't figured it out yet :D

  • How different is this one compared to this? https://www.amazon.com.au/Cordless-Cleaner-45000pa-Anti-Tang…

    • +3

Very similar, I also looked at it before posting.

The key differences are, x7a can freely stand, so it's a great feature. It doesn't need a dock, I just put it inside a cupboard and it stands there.

It also came with a spare filter, I thought I had to install it but there was one already installed.

Build quality is great, the only issue is when you bring it out of standing mode, the roller head is locked, you need to put it down on the floor by using your foot πŸ˜‚ Which makes it feel like it's very light.

It also has telescopic rod, you can reduce the height. I give it to my kids to vacuum lol The weight is easily handled by 5yo.

      • How about this one? Self-standing and looks identical, for less money.
        https://www.amazon.com.au/HONITURE-X7-Cordless-Wall-mounted-…

        • It's unavailable lol

      • +1

Yeah nice, thanks for sharing the extra details. I'm also planning to hand it over to the kids to do some vacuuming so good to know it suits that purpose haha

        • Go for it, it's amazing how light weight it is and the powerful suction would show. One day I vacuumed, tons of dust and dirt, next day was nothing, meaning it took everything lol

Oh man I love these clones.

I bought one a while ago based on a deal on here, can't remember the brand. Works great, still working until today.

Then they released a new model and emailed me, hey buy it, leave a positive review, we'll refund you. Did that, got the new vacuum. Still in box.

Then they emailed me about a new model and company name, if I leave a review they'll send a free one. Did that. Third vacuum.

Then they released a new model under the new company, same thing as before with the buy it -> review -> refund. Fourth vacuum.

This is in less than a year. If they ever email you to review a new product, SAY YES.

        Damn!

      • DM me the brand, I'd like to get one :)

      • Interested to know store/brand as well. You mention you can't remember the brand but say it was working until today??

      • Which brand? Pm me please

      • +1

I bought a Honiture vacuum around 1 year ago, and recently the support from Sunsare sent me an email offering the second situation there (buy, positive review, refund). Rather skeptical if they won't give me my refund.

        • +2

Pay with credit card and charge back if they don't, you've got the email trail if it comes up.

          e: But I haven't been burned yet

  • Anyone know how to convert the kpa units to Dyson aw units?

  • Any non branded shit without type c charging atm is waste of money IMO

    • +3

It comes with an adapter, I burnt one adapter for Xiaomi G10 lol
These Chinese knock off are only good for an year or so, if your wife is using, maybe less.

  • Would this be ok for vacuuming the car or is a bit bulky with the attachments?

    • The brush attachment is permanently fixed to the tool, you cannot remove it. You remove the rod and then press a button to lower the brush tool. It's a bit bulky but can't be used in the car, it's so light weight that you'd be surprised. Very powerful. I don't think there would be a place where you can't reach with this vacuum. But, I'd suggest you use a vaccum that plugs into the wall, and has a flexible pipe, that throws the exhaust outside. That way you would run the risk of catching dust and spring fine dust back in the cabin. I bought a cheap one from eBay, I don't even use hepa on it to allow some more powerful suction πŸ˜‚

That reminds me of cleaning my car lol I'll try it.

      • Thanks. You're rely is a bit confusing though…"It's a bit bulky but can't be used in the car", "I don't think there would be a place where you can't reach with this vacuum".
So are you saying it's not really practical for this purpose?
I'd like to get an all rounder for the home as well as the car.
        Cheers

          Sorry, can't is a typo.

It's a bit bulky but can be used in the car, I don't think there would be a place where you can't reach with this vacuum.

    • If you look at the last video on the Amazon listing, it gives you more of an idea on size of the unit, etc when the rod is removed and just the brush or crevice tool is attached to the motor head.

  • You mention it only came with a carpet roller. Does that mean it's not suitable for hard floors?

There seems be a few out there that look identical other than the brand. All around same price by the time you apply the relevant coupon.
    Smoture: https://www.amazon.com.au/SMOTURE-Self-Standing-Touchscreen-…
    Inteture: https://www.amazon.com.au/INTETURE-Cordless-Self-Standing-Po…
    Fieety: https://www.amazon.com.au/Fieety-Cordless-Wall-Mounted-Charg…

All are probably same one with different branding?

    • +1

I was looking and thought that they all have to be the same, just different branding. The Fieety store on Amazon actually has spare parts so that might be the best value one to get.

      • Having a bit of a closer look the Fieety and SunSare look to be the same, just different colouring.

The other 2 look to be a little different with the dust barrel/head unit.

You might just be able to get the Fieety parts and use on the SunSare…

    • Any final thoughts on these? I've tried to do my research, seems like Smoture has the "latest features" with the auto power change, but Fieety has the spare parts on Amazon. I can't seem to find any matching filters or batteries on AliExpress though for either type.

  • This or the Smoture which also looks to have automatic suction adjust. Oh and a fragrance function. Lol.
    https://www.amazon.com.au/SMOTURE-Self-Standing-Touchscreen-…

    • Looks better, it has an extra tool head, assuming from first photo

Plus aroma therapy for free πŸ˜‚

      • Is it an extra attachment head or they simply showing you can use the head without the pipe?

      • I don't think it has an extra tool head as such. On the SunSare the little brush is built in. You can pull it down when the pole is removed and you just have the motor unit. I've really gone down the rabbit hole and tracked down manuals, etc. Lol. Not surprisingly most of the manuals are very close to being identical.

        • My one has same color, if you really want to show off a Dyson killer πŸ˜‚

I think these Chinese brands are giving Dyson run for the money

You're right about extra head, not possible in 209$

Xiaom G10 had 2 heads, one for upholstery, but it was 300$

          • @sqheaven: Hmmmm. Same colour as Dyson or aroma therapy?… Hahaha.

            • @whatisk: Dyson lol I initially thought it was a dyson :D

              • @sqheaven: I actually did end up going the 'Dyson'. Sent a pic to a couple of people and they thought it was one as well!

  • Well I decided to go ahead and order this thing. It arrived today. Connected it up to test it and it seemed to work great and looked like a nice piece of kit.I then put it on charge for around 4 hrs as per the instructions. I could see the LED panel indicating that it was charging OK. The panel display eventually went off and I assumed it was fully charged, Now however the damn thing won't start! Have I just been really unlucky and got a dud? I reckon it's the battery as I do get a 'funny' smell of it. (Bit like the smell of a toy cap gun from the 80s!).

    • Damn, if it's the smell then definitely something is roasted. Just open a return for this. Mine is going strong after a week of use.

Try fully seating the batter on the unit, if it's not pushed all the way then it could be a loose terminal

  • Yeah I have made sure to disconnect and reconnect the battery but it's cactus! I have already organised the return via Amazon, which thankfully is fairly straightforward.
The big question though is, do I order another one? I'm leaning towards a Yes, but just need convincing!

    • Tbh, buying from Amazon is the biggest advantage in trying new things. You can buy again and see.

When I bought my first espresso machine, they sent me 3 machines, finally one worked lol Delonghi Ec155 back in the days.. πŸ˜‚

  • Is it best to leave this always on charge, or disconnect when it reaches 100%? Doesn't say in the manual. I'm a bit concerned with all these stories of fires involving lithium batteries.

    • It's never a good idea to leave any charging device plugged in. It auto shuts off charging at 100%.

I saw a video online, leaving a battery on charger can burn your house down. I developed a phobia after that video lol

I try to be careful but you can leave it on since it shuts the charging after battery is full..

      • So do you switch yours off when it reaches 100%? If so, does it retain most of its power if lying idle for a week?

        • Yes, the charging time is a lot longer on these devices so you'd probably end up leaving them overnight. It does retain the charge, tested it for 2 to 3 days. Stays 1oo%. Mainly because we also have another stick vaccum.

I do disconnect the charger when it switches off charging. It's a pet peeve thing. I have so many batteries, once they're on charging I keep looking at them lol
