Just renewed my indonesian membership for the same price. Booked 2 consecutive nights at the swissotel singapore last year, no issues. Going rate for that hotel was ~$500 per night.

Has anyone checked the usual haunts for a better price than Vietnam?
Each country has its own extra benefits. I bought the Malaysian Accor Plus 2 free nights membership for about $385 that had one-time use vouchers including a free night stay at Accor in Malaysia following a paid night. I paid for the first night at Novotel KL and got the second night free. Another voucher was for a free buffet lunch or dinner for two in a Malaysian Accor hotel.
I use my free stay nights in Singapore, Fairmont and Swissotel are good value.
I have also booked a couple of stays using their Red Hot Rooms promotion at 50% off rooms.
newbiew question, does the free night only come with the basic room type ? or do we get to pick whatever ? o.O
Standard double room only. Some hotels may allow nicer rooms for a surcharge of anywhere from $10 to $1000.

I'm sharing my experience in case it might help someone in a similar situation. I previously held an Accor Plus membership in Australia, which expired earlier this year. I tried signing up for a deal on the Vietnam Accor Plus website, but encountered an error stating that my membership was associated with another country and that I needed to contact support to change it.
I reached out via live chat, explained what I was trying to do, and provided my details for further assistance. About 24 hours later, I received an email from what I believe was the Vietnam-based team, offering the same deal and assistance with signing up. I provided my credit card details, and now I'm an Accor Plus member again.

Just checked their website. They updated to 1 stay plus only. But you can cancel free within 21 days.

Oh! I just googled it's 10 days and if purchase via phone. I remember wrong. I'm not sure if buying online. But you can chat with online chat. I think it should not be a problem.
Indeed it does, how interesting. The screenshot I took just over an hour ago (and sent to them) shows 2 nights. Hopefully they will honor that, or cancel.
Well I was wrong. Despite then admitting the website still showed the offer on the 12th (when I signed up) they said it expired on the 11th and have offered 2000 points as a gesture of goodwill.
Completely unacceptable when I did nothing wrong. Nothing said the offer had expired (or the 11th).
Have asked for escalation. Plain and simple misrepresentation. Made an offer, I purchased based on that. Need to honour it.
