A software solution like that where you just set the max speed you want would suit me best, but they say only dealers can get it.

Are Ananda motors good?
Apparently they're fine? I don't know much about them myself, but I think the Pedal range of e-bikes from 99 Bikes (which I believe is 99 Bikes' home brand stuff) mostly use the Ananda e-bike motors. I was told that they're no Shimano or Bosch, but they do the job.
I've never heard of Valk before.
I've seen them pop up online everywhere, like Bunnings, Harvey Norman, Woolies etc.
Looks okay. But the battery's a bit small.

Seems reasonable for the price.

It doesn't actually claim to be a men's bike anywhere on the actual product page, I don't think. Perhaps the sizing is geared to male riders? Step through designs are pretty universal though - you'll see plenty of men riding step throughs in most parts of the world.

I wish they had the small frame available.
Mytopia are the Valk distributors and may have small frame in stock, worth a call. Secondly, being a step through, only concern is seat height and a medium might have enough range to fit. The bars can be dropped on the steering stem.

Not bad if you don't need rear suspension and fine with being unable to unlock for offroad use without $300 chip.
