  • Nice case!

  • Wouldn't mind one of those cases - will have to try and track one down later.

I own these headphones and like them a lot.

Good price for Amazon, especially with inc case. Can get them (no case) a bit cheaper if willing to go Ali-X and sale vouchers - I did with a high rated seller ($447 delivered), and so far, so good..

  • 2 pairs on way, thx OP

Why was I neg'd? Because I bought 2 or because I got stiffed on the price drop?

  • +2

Price seems to have dropped to $481.92

    Procrastination pays off! ($25 saving)

    • You can get these slightly cheaper from either amazon.com or hifiman.com (seems like there's a clearance sale on - must be a new model coming out) - but ordering from Amazon AU is less hassle.

Also if anyone wants a cheaper option, it looks like the Hifiman HE400SE are about $110 delivered on aliexpress.

      • They are harder to drive though

        • Slightly harder to drive, and not as good audio quality - but for people who are on a budget, the 400SE are great value - I used to have a hifiman HE4XX (drop), and they were great for certain music genres.

Any amp like Topping DX3+ Pro or SMSL C200 will drive them just fine - and I'd recommend an amp like that for the Edition XS anyway.

    • mmm…I wonder if further procrastination = further discount

      • The ultimate procrastination is to not buy, and wait for the next sale. Or a newer model if one is coming out.

the fit on these is great for me but if you have a small head they will prob be loose.

  • Mine arrived today .. and the left speaker is DOA. It's not the cable - both L/R ends when plugged into the right speaker work fine.

Hifiman QC gets zero stars from me.

Yes same lmao, just got Arya stealth and right driver was dead. Was upgrading from Anandas, absolutely ridiculous. I think the diaphragm conductive traces break during shipping as it's a very think metal layer deposited on an even thinner diaphragm.

      • I reckon that's it. If I tap the left cup with the headphones on my head there is a bit of a rattle - the right side has no rattle.

Interesting you were going from Ananda to Arya stealth .. from the reviews, I would have thought that was mostly a side-grade.

          Nah, it's an upgrade.
