    FYI - wouldn't recommend this for a 4k screen..

    Max Display Refresh Rates:
    1x DP/HDMI 3840x2160 @ 30 Hz
    1x DP/HDMI 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz
    1x VGA 1920x1080 @60Hz

    • Am using it with a 4K screen for productivity. But I don't play games so cannot advise in that regard.

You would have to notice 4k at 30fps! Can you check the advanced display settings for 4k refresh rate?

        • +3

100%, using 30 Hz was a horrible experience in Windows/MacOS

    • -3

Wow - you can watch it redraw every 2 secs on a 4K monitor. Noice!

      • +1

Thirty times per second actually….. 🤔 But yeah you'd notice.

  • Is this suitable for using laptop and desktop PC on one Screen (Dell G3223D) to swap from one to the other without replugging anything?

  • +4

    needs 4k60 in 2024

    • Can you recommend a dock suitable for this?

      • i dont have one … i use a usb > hdmi (for older monitors) which has 4k60

    Thanks, bought one!

  • OOS

  • Just missed it. Dang.

  • +1

OOS at the sold rate of 1 per minute since my post went up 45 minutes ago LOL
P.S. I am not getting any commission for this post.

    • Nor do you have to offer any warranty based on people’s experience with this device, particularly those with 4K monitors.

BTW - user name checks out

These docks are complete rubbish. I used to work for an IT Managed Service Provider.
We had nothing but trouble with these. Their specs don't match reality. It says three monitors, but one has to be VGA. One set of DisplayPort and HDMI is one or the other, not both. Doesn't list this on the website.
Their support is slow and unhelpful.
We had many that failed as DOA. We just returned to our supplier. We made them fight with the manufacturer.

    Edit for spelling

    • We've got these in our office and I agree. They are average. Sometimes one screen doesn't turn on. Sometimes dock won't connect to one laptop but swap it with another laptop and works perfectly. Sometimes the lan connection keeps dropping every few minutes. Hopeless then to have VoIP call going that keeps dropping out.

What dock would you recommend we could replace these with?

      • @placard

I had forgotten about the other issues you listed!

We used to use the HP USB-C G5 docks. We were an HP house. They are a little pricey, but always work.

The HP docks were hard to get at start of Covid. Hence why other in stock docks were tried.

To the users that posted you missed out, you actually won. I wouldn't use one of them if it was given to me.
