Save the offer to your eligible Card and spend $10 or more, in one transaction, in-store or online at participating Shop Small businesses by 31/08/2024 to receive a $10 credit, up to 3 times. Exclusions apply.

Offer Terms

  • You must spend on the Card to which the offer is saved in-store or online at a participating Shop Small business.
  • Exclude gift card purchases.
  • Exclude purchases made with third-party ordering systems, take away or delivery systems.
  • Valid for payments made by 31/08/2024 to be eligible for offer.
  • Offer is limited to a maximum $30 credit per Card and $10 credit per eligible transaction.
  • Offer is limited to the Card to which the offer is saved and only spend on this Card counts towards the Offer.
  • Excludes transactions where you do not spend directly with your Card to which the offer is saved, in-store or online at participating Shop Small businesses. Offer valid at participating Australian locations and websites only.
  • Excludes transactions made through a third party establishment or payment processor.
  • Credit is not redeemable for cash or other payment form.
  • Credit should appear on your billing statement within 15 business days from qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from the offer end date.
  • Credit will not be applied to your Card Account if your Card has been suspended or cancelled.
  • Credit may be reversed if your qualifying purchase is refunded or cancelled.

Update - 03/08: also received the 5 bonus points offer this morning, ends tomorrow 04/Aug. Did not activate it in case it overrides the $10 x 3 offer. May be there is a delay in the campaign, so check again if you did not get the offer earlier.

    Edge has 5pts per $. Explorer has nada!

    Just used the travel credit, now ringing up to cancel and reboot in 18 months.

    Just not worth it anymore when points have been devalued 75%, no material offers anymore…. and it's better to buy discounted gift cards on visa rather than get a net 1.5pts per dollar at supermarkets

    I received an email yesterday that Shop Small is coming, so assuming I would get the offer for it but nothing is showing up yet.

      I've since received the points offer in addition to the $10/$10 offer, but only on the primary card. However, it hardly seems worthwhile going out of my way today or tomorrow to find out.

      I had this happen during a Shop Small promo a couple years back. I ended up paying by Visa/Mastercard. I contacted Amex (to let them know their list was inaccurate, if nothing else) - they updated the list, but also asked me to scan a copy of the receipt to them and ended up giving me the credit anyway.

    Only on primary card, unlike in the past when they did Shop Small offer. From my memory last time was in 2020 and available to supplementary cards too. They might as well don't bother.

    Got this offer on my Amex Essential card and the supplementary card my wife has. Cards are only ever used when there's a useful offer, maybe once or twice a year, ie; hardly ever.

    Found Amaysim in the Shop Small list, so changed a recently expired service to PAYG and threw $10 at it.

    Shop small is the reason I got an Amex card to start with. The fact that its not even available to everyone any more and lame and more lame each year is a strong reason to say goodbye to the card :(

    Makes some sense for them to give higher tiered cards time to register first, then release to the masses with max 75k offers available to be saved to cards or something

      There are plenty in Gold Coast, first one the list is Mitre 10 Bundall, but nothing shows in desktop browser.

      Perhaps the site checks browser version and only works in mobile browser in case it requires location services.

    I recall previous Shop Small had a 2 times limit at the same business, it's not specified this time. Requested to split into 3 payments at a grocery store, all 3 were credited, effectively half price for that shop. Pretty good deal, hopefully the small business didn't have to wear it, are offers like this fully funded by Amex?

      If you find a small business that accepts AMEX then most likely you'll get the credit even if you don't see it on the map.
