TIKTOK50

Got served this ad on TikTok. Almost went an entire month without a discounted Inglewood coffee deal!

Adding $2 golf tees should get you to any minimum free shipping spends if needed.

My 2 cents is that Inglewood have a very good decaf compared to the others that are posted on here.

I like their coffee although last packet had not sign of a roast date.

Send them email of your delivery note, they can tell you. Usually it's within the same week of delivery. Very fresh, so your have to wait. I don't lol

  • The Downtown is awesome.

Ive tried 3 or 4 different ones since i got my machine 2 months ago and, for me, its the standout.

Well worth it at half price!

Still haven't had my order prepared from EOFY sale :(

    • +3

I'd contact them, I've had two EOFY sale orders delivered, last one arrived July 4.

      • Thank you, will do that

        • Mine arrived yesterday.

    • Same

Can vouch for the decaf. Smells great and super strong flavour. You'd have no idea.

  • thanks!

  • Enjoying my Downtown coffee from the last deal. Added Earl Grey and Sticky Chai to get free shipping and its pretty good too

code not valid for special release.

I don't know but their Bloom blend was not special at all, dialed the shots, 1:2 in 26 seconds. Even tried changing stuff, 1:1 is probably drinkable. I am giving up on a kilo.

    The sunset is amazing.

    • +1

No. I had the same issue with Bloom. For my/our tastes it is Roosevelt>Downtown>Sunset> …Daylight*

*Not actually one of their blends - but I suspect that I'd prefer daylight to Bloom.

      • +1

I am so glad someone thinks the same way. Tbh, I was expecting more. Never again.

Sticking to sunset as my goto coffee.

I don't think I can find an issue with my setup. It's the coffee beans this time.

      • How did you find Downtown compared to Roosevelt? We love Roosevelt but I decided to go for Downtown with my last order which I'll receive later this week.

        • +1

          Lovely!

It doesn't seem quite as earthy as Roosevelt (to my taste) - but it has a nice level of richness that works with the way we seem to have our coffees (flat white tending to the less-milky end of the spectrum).

In fact, I have 2kg of Downtown due this week. And, for some reason, 2kg MORE of Roosevelt. Better make some freezer space!

          • +1

@lostincanberra: Thanks. Downtown is getting delivered tomorrow. Looking forward to trying it out.

            • +1

@Nickelback: Interestingly, my orders turned up this morning (2kg of Downtown; 2kg of Roosevelt) - and the card for the Downtown says that the beans are PNG in origin. I think that the last supply I got of Downtown was Brazil Santos (or predominantly so).

I tend to associate PNG with a more fruity/acidic coffee that is better suited to non-espresso methods of preparation - but maybe this is a darker roast?

Anyway, we shall see. And at the $24/kg that I paid I probably won't be complaining (unless it turns out like 'Bloom').

Lesson: When Inglewood say that it is a seasonal 'blend', you should probably check what is going in to it!

[I'm still going through the last ~500g of Roosevelt from the freezer, so I wont get to the Downtown for a week or so yet]

              • @lostincanberra: Oh so that's what "seasonal blend" is?! I was wondering what it meant. I need to freeze 1kg of Roosevelt which i ordered with Sunset Boulevard. This'll be my first attempt at freezing the beans. Any tips there? I've read some mixed opinion about freezing

                • +1

@Nickelback: Well… I can't tell the difference taste-wise (or aroma, for that matter). I freeze if I'm not going to start using the beans within 2-3 weeks.

I put the OEM bags into a big IKEA 'Istad' zip-lock bag (they come as a mixed pack 4.5 & 6L) and displace the extra air in the bag (just by hand - nothing too over dramatic). Then into the freezer.

When I need to make a 'withdrawal' from the freezer bank, I take the OEM bag out of the IKEA bag and snip off the corner. Fill my grinder hopper and roll up the rest of the coffee beans that are still in the OEM bag and repeat my process to get the balance back into the freezer. Nothing too technical!

I happily grind the beans while still frozen and lose no sleep about the thawing process. I've never noticed condensation on either the beans or the grinder hopper - but then I live in an environment with moderate humidity (Melbourne - yeah, I know my handle misleads).

Easy to overcomplicate things. I'm passionate about nice coffee - not yet fanatical!

                  • +1

@lostincanberra: Thanks for thev detailed explanation. I'm going to try & replicate your process. No problems with humidity as I'm in Melbourne too. Your username does not check out. Lol

  • Nice I ordered 1kg each of Downtown and Sunset Blvd. Good to mix things up after a long run of AirJo.

Pity the hot chocolate isn't eligible for that deal :(

  • Inglewood's finest shoes (whoop, whoop)

    no delayed dispatch?

  • Not working on the special release Gesha.

  • I bit with their last 60% off sale.. gonna pass until they bring this back

There is also coupon code FLASH50, valid for only 24hrs, expiring 31/7/24 6pm AEST

  • Amazing coffee - any Aeropress folks here - go for it - Downtown is just superb!!! 21gms:3min 🀌🏽🀌🏽🀌🏽

didn't like the bloom at all

  • How fast is their shipping?

    • Slow. I ordered in late June and it was only dispatched today.

      • +1

That was because they were offering July 31 delayed shipment as default on that deal. I believe normal shipping is within a week or so for VIC.

I ordered delayed dispatch from last deal as still had coffee at home.

          Still too slow.
Airjo for me from now on.

  • +1

Ordered on 29 June (EOFY sale), selected delayed dispatch (31/07/2024), VIC metro area.

    Roast dates:
    Roosevelt 1 kg: 25/07/2024
    Sunset BLVD 500g: 26/07/2024
    Sunset BLVD 500g: 28/07/2024
    Downtown 1kg: 29/07/2024

I reckon these roaster orders works best if you can line up your beans with supplies/shipping. Looking forward to dialing the beans in tomorrow.

    • Wow! That's quite an order.

      • +1

I bulk-buy to reduce my average coffee beans purcahse. Dialed in the Roosevelt this morning. (Very mainstream, safe flavour)

Given fresh roast beans should be at their prime from the 2-week mark. I opened the 1kg Roosevelt bag today to start dialing in. The rest are in my freezer to slow/preserve aging.

At the 2-week mark (some time next week), I will separate my Roosevelt beans into a ziploc bag for the next 2 weeks and freeze the rest.
As my Barsta Pro uses an 18g basket, that's 252g of beans (assuming 1 espresso /day, or 504g for 2 espressos /day).

That's my coffee beans supplies sorted for the next quarter or somewhere into the festive season :- P

  • They must be swamped, still sitting at unfulfilled. Not in a rush as I've got about 500g of AirJo in the Airscape.

    • I ordered on 30/7. Still waiting too… got confirmation email straight away and then nothing….

  • Same here, ordered 31 July, still waiting my order to be fulfilled, no delivery ETA date yet, I am almost run out my supply. Probably not going to order from them again, will stick to Airjo in the future.

  • Shipped today :)

  • I received my order today from one of the recent deals. It's missing an item.

  • Expired? Code not working

    • Looks like their TikTok campaign is over.

  • Hey anyone here got an old batch? I ordered on 5 Aug and the bag arrived 8th saying its roasted on 2 (or 9) Jul. Clearly not roast to order

    • Strange. Did you order one of their less popular ones? I ordered for delayed shipment on 31/7, roast date on bottom was 30/7. This is for the decaf.

      • Nah got a kilo of Downtown whole bean. It is strange, hopefully just a mixed up. Will update here when I hear back from them. Cheers

        • Said it’s just a wrong date stamp. πŸ€”

  • this discount code is not working. Any other long running discount code? I got a long running 40% one i used before but it is not working anymore now.
