Don't order if you need it within the next week, At least being in New South Wales it took a week to ship. Not the worst thing in the world but just FYI

    • They used Australia Post for my last purchase, so I got it faster - and Australia Post's tracking works. Their normal courier's tracking will still tell me it's ready for pick-up after it's been delivered.

I like their coffee so I just make sure I have at least a week's worth from order date.

How did we get to needing postage under a week?

    • +1

When they have sales like this, it takes them a long time to process — I asked about this as I live in Melb (a stone's throw from them) and still had to wait a long time.

    • Damn son, what a shout

  • -1

I’ll stick with Aldi beans thanks

    • -1

      Mmmm…. stale…

      • Not really. Good backup beans when she Inglewood won't process your order

    • Agreed. Harris is on special through Prime atm for $17.55/kg, though normally I wait till it's cheaper and buy 10 bags. I like to do a 50/50 mix between Aldi and Harris beans. I'd prefer Skybury everytime but just can't justify the cost of bean a junkie.

I’m still waiting for mine from the last deal weeks ago

    • Did you select ‘delayed shipping’ by mistake?
I ordered some this week and they’re already on their way.

      • I’m the same, didn’t click delayed as wanted them, but it’s been a few weeks so thought by now I’d get a delivery update etc..

        • Hm. I ordered and got a batch roasted 19th and 20th (diff blends) delivered on the 25th in Sydney.

    • New too, now feeling like ripped off 😂

My offer shows delayed shipping, even though I did not select anything.

      • +4

Delayed shipping was the default shipping option btw.

        • Totally missed seeing it, I have been ordering on and off, never seen this feature before. In their most recent email where this deal was shared, I saw them announcing the delayed shipping feature. Feeling even more ripped off now.. 😂

        • what the hell, i just checked my last order and yeah it says delayed dispatch. i remember seeing this option and I didn't click it… maybe there is an issue with their system?

  • Mine took 6 days from ordering. Normal postage, no real complaints.

Took a little to dial in Downtown for milk based coffee. Long black was much easier.

  • +1

This is an extremely extremely good deal!!!!!!

  • I ordered mine nearly 2 weeks ago, shipped within resonable time and delivery was expected last Mon 24th-Tues 25th however Aus Post tracking hasn't updated since!!

I don't like my chances of these beans arriving as they've probably ended up in the Aus Post depot tea room..

  • Noticed an option for "delayed shipping" for the 31st of July which some folks may have skipped past.
Pressed "free shipping" which was underneath delayed shipping, it took one week (24th June ordering to 1st-2nd July arrival)

      You from the future mate?

      • +1

One must face sacrifices in the space-time continuum for coffee…

  • Do coffee beans have an expiry? How long do they last?

    • +3

Best to use them all within 1 month of roasting date.

    • I've read 2-4 weeks after the roast date is the sweet spot. I usually grab a couple bags when these sales are on and keep them in the freezer and thaw when ready to use so they're still in that 2-4 week range

      • Do you freeze in the bag that it comes in or another way?
Also when it thaws does it not get moisture on the inside of the bag?

        • +1

I freeze in the bag it comes in since they have a one way gas valve built in to the packaging but have read of others putting them in another ziplock bag or vacuum sealing portions. I haven't had any issues with moisture/damp beans, just don't thaw and refreeze

          • @zer0404: awesome, thanks!
when you thaw, do you just put them out on the bench or do you let them thaw in the fridge for a day or something?

            • @philldo: Depends how desperate I am :P both are fine

  • my last batch from the last deal arrived in good time with no issues have ordered delayed shipping this time.

  • Mine took a little bit to come but expected when it's so cheap. Got the downtown.

Significantly better then the medium-dark from ALDI imo and worth the slight extra cost. I have a Breville touch impress, which is definitely a pretty inconsistent machine when it comes to quality.

  • +1

$60 - $69 / kg before discount, their normal prices?

    • These are very normal prices for specialty coffee
But yep, pretty sure $60/kg Inglewood's regular price

  • +1

Applies to all orders not just 1kg bags.

  • Oh, bought it last deal and I'm drinking now btw, It takes about one week to Sydney which is ok?

  • -1

Ugh what a woeful site… order details say "once your order is dispatched on the 31st July 2024." yet selected nothing.

Ah missed 'If you have selected our dealyed dispatch option" hope all is well then

Takes aaaages to ship, buyer beware.

when enquired via email received a condescending response. stick with Airjo

  • +1

Their roast is always below 1kg and this time mine was so uneven when I opened my filter roast. Super dark with burnt beans while some are still green!

    • My decaf beans were 1050g and uniform quality, pleasantly surprised

  • Decent deal for a non-supermarket bean. Looks like they'll suit my needs for delayed roasting/shipping too … unlike another coffee seller here.

In my case I had to deliberately change it from free shipping to x. Delayed

  • How are these beans comparing with the Sensory Lab? Just contemplating between these two deals.

    • +1

Sensory Lab can be a bit hit or miss with roast dates - they are a Supermarket brand now. All of my Inglewood orders have been under ~7 days from roast.

  • +1

As posted in the previous Inglewood deal, grab a golf tee (it was 2 for $2, but now looks like 1 for $2) to get free shipping (if you order 2x $24) - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/851550

My previous order experience was good, ordered evening on the 23rd, roasted and shipped on the 26th, received 28th for metro Syd. Havent tried the beans yet though.

Make sure you don't select delayed shipping as that was the default option.

  • +1

Inglewood is my go to. I keep trying other brands but end up coming back to Inglewood. Tried other Ozbargain recommendations, Airjo, Lime Blue etc and wasn’t a fan. Sunset Blvd is my fave. I have also tried Downtown and Roosevelt which were both nice, but I still preferred Sunset.

  • Excellent decaf!! But already got 3kgs on the way from undercover… 🤔

  • I got the downtown from the previous deal, delivered in 7 days and is a REALLY nice blend.
    Very happy

  • Oh gosh

I DID NOT selected delayed shipping but ended up confirmation email saying I did!

I think this was because I eventually chose Apple Pay

I tried the long checkout method the first time and got the normal shipping option :(

  • Big thankyou OP.

I actually wanted delayed shipping as I'm cranking through my current batch of LimeBlue. Was only able to select end of July, which should line up perfectly.

$52 for 2x 1kg beans is astounding for Inglewood.

  • Thanks OP. I ordered Downtown previously on 16 June and received my beans in 25 June. I ordered a bag of Roosevelt this time and used delayed delivery to hopefully coincide with the end of Downtown.

  • Nice deal, FYI no coupons, discount is applied at checkout.

The delayed shipping option is perfect for planning ahead and not storing coffee for a month.
