Is Coles liquor 20% off at the moment? Could not find it.
Wonderful. Right on time.
Cheers mate…
What does 80 % proof mean
80 proof is 40% alcohol
it's an term ro make it sound more potent then it actually is.
halve it to get to get the %

USA: Kirkland Spiced Rum, $13.99, 1.75 litre, 92 proof, origin Kentucky. The prices in Australia are obscene.
Not sure you can compare the pre-tax price of a store brand liquor from a paid members only warehouse in another country to the post-tax price of a brand name liquor in this country
Yes our alcohol taxes are high, but there’s a multitude of factors in the Kirkland products price
Good price. But inferior to mount gay which can be snagged at a similar price during cashback
Name sorta checks out
Only spiced rum i like more or on par to this is kraken.
Kraken feels like drinking the syrup from post mix soft drinks
Nat its good with cola, never drunk the spiced stuff straight though, if i want non spiced i go bundy op rum…
@Palomino: Bundy and Kraken. To each their own, we are very different rum drinkers. Mount Gay is my regular, if the bar doesn't have it then they will have sailor Jerry and that will do. I had to learn to like Jerry as bars brought it in and dropped Mount Gay for it but I'm fine with it now, still less preferred. Otherwise dictador, preferably the solera, which is cheap enough to buy out or diplomatico… Some of their stuff I would not drink out due to price
Non member price $45.90, so posting this deal for saving $2?!
Its already discounted just more so with member…places are saying rrp is over $60
it's a $2 saving! Better hand in your Ozbargain badge in champ, that's a disgraceful attitude!
Is 80 proof (40%) considered good for rum? I drink predominantly Scotch and 40% is the bare minimum watered down stuff. There's some smooth scotches at 40% but generally if you want a bit of depth of flavour you want 46%+.
40%: 42% won’t get any higher
The percentage of alcohol in it doesn't affect how it tastes, how it's made, or what it's made with.
Depends on the drink and situation.
There are some 40% that I find harsh and otherwise not pleasant, then there are some 60+% I've tried that have been smooth sippers with excellent flavour and a refreshing bite - maybe add a single tiny ice cube to just barely curb the burn.
(Just last night I started on a 48%, had a few, then moved to a 40% and it somewhat let me down even though 40% is what is I most usually have and enjoy - felt like I moved from a stiff drink to lolly water - it's all a matter of relativity and expectations).
Then god invented OP rum
Bundy OP is 57.7%If God invented OP then the Devil invented Bundy.
Bundy makes a lot of people very angry when they drink it. Something about it does not blend with a LOT of people
More alcohol = more flavour
no
$59 at BWS until August… Works out $41.30 for 700mL…
So spend 34% more on a different product to save $2.60…doesn't seem like a fair neg.
Bitches be wingeing I select my posts on a curated bench of sandards.
This is also on clearance at $58 down from $80

Shows $70 for me in Brisbane.
Change your store - it's different prices at different stores for some reason.
Not the best deal if you compare it to the current Coles 20% offer and apply the discount.
With any booze deal, I think in this economy, Coles online with their codes is the best by far. I’ve used their 20%, 25% and $45 off a $150 spend (30%). You’ll find they inflate some prices on certain items and when you apply the code, it’s probably a couple of dollars cheaper than Uncle Dan’s. But overall, you can find massive discounts on already reduced prices. I don’t always buy what I want, but I buy what I need to maximise the discount. And with their codes, you can sometimes use them 3 times max so I’ll create an account under my wife’s email and just stock up.
Coles discounts are also good for stocking up on cheaper spirits and liqueurs for cocktails.

Fully agree with this and think coles/liquorland have this segment down pat with their constant specials + promo on top.
Liquor is like tech/electronics, pays the shop around imo. Dans sometimes do actually have good deals (especially on more expensive stuff) but half the time you can find it cheaper at Coles/Nicks/The Drink Society/Senseoftaste/boozebud.
Recently have found Dan is pretty easy to price match with too but maybe ive been lucky.
It’s changed a lot over the last few years. Boozebud was the hack and then boozebud on eBay trumped it. I found last October (I think) cyber weekend, Dans was wild. Their website/app kept crashing.
Agree, they definitely have this down pat. Last time I got 2 bottles of Campari for $37.5 each and now I got it for $40. Coconut tequila at $56 and this Kangaroo Island gin for $44 as it’s already heavily reduced on other stores prices (80-90 elsewhere).
I think I have a drinking problem :D
If you have a coles liquor around will be $38 with current 20% off promo. Stock up on coke n soda or buy 2 to get the 50 min spend.
