Noise level: 800 decibels….what's in it, a Saturn V rocket engine?

  • +6

800 DECIBELS 🤯, 7500 watts and able to capture 999% of dust and allergens.

This thing must suck! Pitty electricity is expensive now and I doubt my eardrums could handle it, let alone the noise complaints from the surrounding suburbs. 😅

Someone at the Shark marketing team were surely having a fun day, same description on Amazon too.

  • looks good on the pictures though, clever design

7500w from a 2400w socket? I think this marketing team used to sell car stereos. And of course 800db would kill you instantly, so cheap euthanasia I guess

    • +2

One too many zeros. Shark's website says 750w.

      • And the decibels. 80 makes more sense. Not a great look for this business.

  • Isn't there any issue with getting support from Shark if there are any problems?

I read here the other day they are not responding to emails & calls.

    • +1

I also read that, and until someone confirms they are not leaving Australia and will follow through on warranties no way would I buy a shark product!

  • +1

The website looks highly suspicious. "Saunday & Public Holidays- Closed"
    Wtf is a saunday?

Plus the incorrect item details others are talking about…I wouldn't send this company a cent

    • +5

Saunday is the Perth version of Tuesday. Don't ask me why

    • They have an actual shopfront, my mum has bought from them at the markets before. They buy the heavily discounted Costco and Amazon stuff and resell

      • +1

        Markets? Lol

        • yeah they also set up at Canningvale Sunday Markets for the grocery stuff lol. Had the cartons of near expired Cokes and stuff so guessing they also heavily buy from the Amazon Warehouse

OP has done the ol’ post and ghost

Doesn’t bode well for those that want after sales service

  • Warranty?

    • -1

I heard they are leaving Australia.

I read a post on here where someone is unable to contact them for a warranty issue…
