Prime Day deal Save $20 promo code: 20PRIME

    • Doesn’t work

  • +3

i am not ready for 4k gaming lol my setup is very good for 1440p gaming so I am sticking with that :D

    • +4

      27" 1440p gang 🙌

      • +1

        This is the way

    • +3

Yeah no point upgrading to this when your pc can't do 4k properly.

      • -1

        But your ps5 can.

        • why was this downvoted?

  • +2

    Muzeeb, is that you?

    • +10

No. 38" is where it's at.

  • +2

    Best monitor I've ever owned.

    • How long you had it? Burn in? Any measures you take to reduce burn in?

I have a QD OLED S95C and I gotta admit I get anxiety watching certain programs even though I know it will take alot of "misuse" to get burn in. But it is still at the back of my mind lol.

I guess pros of lcd is you never need to worry about it.

PC use case is worse for burn in.

      • Lcds can still get burn in it just requires alot more abuse

        • My Dell 32” LED didn’t even require abuse. The Windows start bar did it for me.

  • Does its USB-C port support data + video + charging at the same time, like other Dell USB-C monitors?
    Thanks

    • +1

      No kvm

    • No

  • Stack with student disc too FTW?

    • ?

      • Oh misread title - thought this was through Dell site - they usually match JB after a day or two

  • missed out!!

  • +7

Had it in my cart but did not have the gonads to proceed so now its out of stock. Oh well, I should not be buying it anyway.

  • +2

This is an awesome monitor but I will wait until I have a 5090 to drive it

    • +4

Just kidding that was sour grapes talking it’s back in stock go go go!

      • Picked up the montor and running on a GTX1080… lmao. Plz amd and nvidia and release the 9800x3d + RTX5080

        • Haha same dude. Gtx 1080 the all time GOAT

    • +1

The 34 and 38 are ultrawide. So if you want 16:9 this is your grail otherwise you go up to 42?

Also for what it's worth the 32-inch monitor has more area and a higher pixel count so… Now you know.

      • -1

i have 34 but at 2k, would wait for an upgrade of that to 4k, I like UW much better

        • You will probably be waiting for a decent time LG new monitors Q4 2025 so well into 2026 until they come here at a reasonable price at least but I haven't heard anything about it tbh. 34-inch monitors are rapidly decreasing in price due to mother glass yield improvements so you have that to consider.

Love the AW3423DWF easier to run than a 4k monitor, and the qd-oled looks great but I still miss 16:9 as I mainly watch YouTube.

          • -2

@TheFyrd: Yeah maybe the wait will be a bit but I'm in hurry, aw34 is still very decent, I just wish for 240hz as I play rocket league and r6 and extra fps would help but it's not a big deal, find 32 inch now a bit too small and wide screen is great for many single player games like resident evils or dead space etc , it's 10x better in UW I recon

    • 34 is basically same size as 32 just different aspect ratio

  • Curved 16:9/10 don't do it

    • Can you explain?

      • -1

        its shite

      • Curved screen on regular aspect monitor is shit like the other guy said

        • Thanks - saved me money. What would be better for best gaming monitor?

          • @evasive: OLED would be best I suppose, but flat panel in this aspect. Check hardware unboxed monitor reviews for their latest and hope one comes up for a good price. Or there are the IPS style ones for cheaper which are great but not at the level of OLED for picture quality. HWUB will get you sorted (YouTube)

  • +2

    Holy moly good value.

I thought the curve would bother me. It doesn't. Excellent monitor apart from the fact the lights won't stay off and Dolby Vision actually doesn't work in Windows at all.

  • +1

    Backorder now, 1-2 months dispatch

  • +2

question, do oled monitors still suffer from burn-ins? pc always has some permanent UI elements around it will not be convenient to turn them on and off

    • depends on who you ask for how much of an issue it is. I'm no expert but from what I understand they are a lot better than they used to be

    • A lot of them have automatic cycles they run every couple hrs to try and combat it. It's a bit annoying but encourages you to take a break while it's running.

    • I have the UW of these and no burn in after 2 years now
they do auto pixel refresh and I think they do some other weird stuff where they shuffle pixels occasionally but nothing is fool proof I guess
you do get a good warranty so its not an issue really

    • Yes they do - it’s not a matter of if but when

The new tech simply delays it a little bit, likely just outside your manufacturers warranty period

    • Thanks you reminded me to move my menu bar

My 4 Reasons for hesitating to buying into OLED

    1. Burn in
    2. Text Clarity
    3. Price
    4. First/Second Gen Tech

If the first two become a non issue and price comes down to this level will be hard not to upgrade

    • +3

You are missing out a lot for still not using OLED. Seriously, the chance of having burn in concern is like 0.01% to happen. Just don't buy KOGAN and you should be fine with text clarity.

      • Text clarity is an issue with QD-OLED pixel layout. You can sort of fix the issue using MacType with a custom profile

        https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED_Gaming/comments/t30fi7/better_…

        • +1

LG OLED's are WOLED and not QD-OLED (in referece to the OP of that reddit post and may other response).

That being said, the newest gen have largely removed this, and it also is naturally less of an issue on high DPI monitors like this AW32. I can say with absolute certainty that the text clarity of these particular monitors is good, and that anyone complaining has probably not actually used one.

Mine is sitting right next to another 32" 4K Dell (G32Q) IPS and there is no discernible difference other than the OLED obviosly having better colours/blacks.

          • @Snorkel2226: Agreed. Side by side I don't notice any problematic clarity issues. I also use it for CAD

      • +5

Chance of burn in is 100% not 0.01%, just depends how often you use it

    • +1
      1. Burn in - 3-Year Advanced Exchange Service and Premium Panel Exchange (Including coverage for OLED burn in). For me that's enough reassurance.
      2. Text Clarity - After watching a few reviews, most seem to mention, this issue has improved.
      • All I can say is - text clarity is not an issue for me. It’s way clearer than a 1440p 27” monitor I also have.

Is it out of stock? Shows $1.8k when I add to cart

    • Yeah out of stock now and unlikely to come down again, was just a limited number available as part of a prime deal.

      • :(

      • nah wasnt it to match JB, which ended its sale this morn?

        • Not sure, seems to have gone on sale at the same time for both sites, could definitely be wrong but for that price I figure it must be a manufacturer discount as well.

  • Bummer, was about to buy but it switched back to 1.8k :(

  • +1

My card was charged a few hours ago, a good sign that it will be dispatched soon. Original estimate for delivery is August 2nd.

    • Did you order on backorder? Thanks.

    • +1

Amazon usually only charge when shipped.

    • Woo! Being delivered today :) farewell my trusty Dell S2721DGF my old friend!

  • +1

This monitor is amazing, to any doubters the curve is better then without from my experience. I have been an early adopter of new gen monitors for the last 20 years. The curve is a non issue, infact for gaming, the subtle curve makes the UI in corners feel closer and overall games more immersive. Once you settle in you no longer notice the curve, however on a flat panel you 100% will notice how far away the corners are if you were to use both for a day each.

Happy to answer any other questions.

    • +1

do you play FPS games like counter strike? how does it feel with the curve

      • +7

Yes, I play FPS game. The curve helps a lot, because I can curve bullets around the corner and my enemies don’t expect it.

      • It feels like there is no curve. Use a flat panel and a curved for a day each, the one that feels at a disadvantage is the flat panel.

    • Maybe not an issue for games but for spreadsheets and IDE's it can look odd. Also if you have a multi screen setup, its very odd having a flat screen next to a curved screen.

      • I’ve seen some dude use 3 curved screens, but vertically.

      • I do spreadsheets and IDEs as well. Not a perfect experience but not enough to warrant losing the game advantages. I dont know about you but the quality of my gaming time matters more to me then the slight angle on my spreadsheets.

        • +1

I mean I wish I could spend 10hrs a day on games and 0.5hrs a day on IDE and spreadsheets

      • +1

Got flat next to curved here and don't really mind. The difference between oled and IPS is the killer between the two.

I CAD on the curved oled no problem too, the curve isn't very strong

        • I honestly forgot about that, I have a Dell high refresh IPS next to a Dell ultrasharp calibrated IPS and the color difference side by side is very noticeable, it will be worse next to OLED

        • +1

          https://imgur.com/a/Lpf4wOk

Dell U2719DC on the left (flat 1440p IPS) 100% scale, Alienware AW3225QF 125% scale on the right.

This is where my eye sits, or perhaps a bit further back so I could fit both in.

Distortion is barely there and doesn't bother me in the slightest if I'm Exceling or CADing.

I thought the curve radius would bother me. It totally doesn't.

The terrible black and backlight bleed on the IPS monitor bothers me a millon times more.

Excuse the shitty old iphone photos. The second image in each set is with exposure brought down so you can see the lines in Excel.

  • Does it matter how I connect this to my PC?

Usually Display Port yields better results but it doesn’t seem to matter with this monitor?

    • +2

DisplayPort is marginally better for stability, HDMI is marginally better for bandwidth. Both cables come with the monitor and most people won't notice a difference.

      • +1

        Cheers for the reply mate

  • -1

If this was FLAT would be an instant buy.
    Sick of these gimmicky monitors.
Just give the people what they want at a non-inflated price.

    • +3

Curved is not a gimmick, read my post above. I hope that people stop sharing this misguided view that you are sharing. Its fine if you don't like it, but its not a gimmick and people do want the curve.

  • Got mine but no idea how to make it look good on windows 11? What’s best setting to use?

    • How soon did you buy it when the deal was up?

    • Just look on youtube for guides. Looks like windows hdr is bugged so you need to manually toggle hdr on and off depending on your situation.

    • Yep. Windows HDR is total utter sh!te, but it still works with some effort.

Windows+Alt+B is the toggle HDR shortcut.

Make sure you're running the latest firmware also.

Reddit has the best colour/brightness settings, sorry I lost the link I referred to when I set mine up. It might be a little less bright than what you are used to in IPS/VA panels. but looks amazing.

Dolby Vision doesn't work at all on Windows for me which is a shame, as I have a fair bit of DV content (which I can watch on my telly regardless). Otherwise HDR10 content is flawless, and games work fine, give or take a bit of a fiddle depending on the game.

  • I managed to snag 3 of these monitors at $1208. Get delivery next week and have changed my mind on TWO of them if anyone wants it.

  • I somehow managed to sneak in a decent quote off the Dell website after presenting this price. They added GST though, so I am just shy of $1,400.00 AUD incl postage and GST.

The monitor is arriving on Monday!!

I didn't need this but thanks ozbargain for 'saving me money' with this purchase..
