  • Anyone else still waiting on their cashback from Cashrewards from one of the previous Cashrewards Amaysim deals? It is still pending.

    • It says 1-7 days for tracking and up to 75 days for payout (on Cashrewards anyway). What were you expecting? Instant payout?

      • +1

I got rapid payouts for smaller amounts from Amaysim via Cashrewards. The recent $30 rebate on a $30 SIM is taking a lot longer.

        • Ahhhh OK fair enough. Mine have generally been between the 7 - 75 days stated, though well on the earlier side of that most of the time.

        • Same experience. $30 Rebates are still pending, don't worry though - if you activated before 20 days of purchase, it should be approved within the 75 day timeframe.

    • It's no longer "auto approved" since the last 90GB data only SIM for me. Previous purchases that were tracked successfully were approved anywhere between 1-2 weeks even without activation (so you don't have to activate within 20 days as you get paid already).

  • i saw https://www.amaysim.com.au/sim-plans/28-day-sim-plans/unlimi…
basically amaysim 32 gb -28 days - for 10 dollars
and in cash rewards, it is cashback 9 dollars , so 1 dollar in the cost.

am i getting it right ?

    • +1

I am wondering the same. I think the answer is yes. $9.02 cashback. Outcome is $0.98 cost.

    • +3

I would go with TopCashback for this. $9.50 cashback vs $9.02 from ShopBack and $9 from Cashrewards.

      • oh even better

  • TCB delete you account without warning claiming you incorrectly have more than one. Don't risk it. I'm waiting for shopback or cashrewards thanks.

    • Hey @alexbargain89 I replied in another post but will repost: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15530666/redir

There were comments here about ShopBack too.
Just wondering if you were sharing Wi-Fi with another person who also has a TCB account. Or were there other members of your household also with TCB?
I'm surprised there was no warning when they deleted your account.

      • My wife also has an account. But I don't think we were even using them at the same time. Then they just sent an email saying I had more than one and that my account had been deleted. My support requests when unanswered. My wife also has shopback and cashrewards and we've both been using them on the same network for a long time no problems.

        • I find it very difficult to believe our team disabled your account without reason and without notice. Please feel free to PM me your account details and I'll gladly investigate this for you. Thanks.

1.May be it's IN-appropriate to game these system, eg create a 2nd account to get NEW-customer-bonus etc.

Many people abused Boost 1 month sim-plans, eg sim-hoarders boasted about their-win here, see profit-deals. Where are Boost-deals now ?
Will Amaysim flex-their-muscle on the churn-sim market?
Human traits are demonstrated here: what is the difference between sim-hoarders & crowd @ stadium-stampede ?

2.Sure, commentators lied, give IN-complete & BIAS account of the situation. But can anyone guarantee that money-back Coy IT-control is 100% fool-proof ?
I use Firefox-DESKTOP to log in my CashRewards account & they think that I could be an international-customer. Firefox-DESKTOP: enhanced-tracking-protection is the default-node & you have to add-site as exception to turn-OFF this feature. No wonder why others (& I) CashRewards-Amaysim purchases can't be tracked via Firefox-Descktop & commented here.
The strange thing my Apr-24 purchaseS of ShopBack-Boost were-tracked using the SAME Firefox-DESKTOP.

  • Why didn't I see the $24 offer via the CB link?

    • I can see both in TopCashback and Cashrewards $50 28-day SIM with 120GB $22 Cashback.
amaysim has reduced the SIM from $50 to $24. Cashback is $22.

  • The amaysim checkout page uses the promo code ESCAPE to get the discounted price, but I can't see this promo code on TCB or CR?

    • +1

Comment from TA on a previous deal "No issue at all re an auto-applied code with amaysim. Thanks"
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/855256

    • @star-ggg The promo code that is auto-applied for this particular SIM 120GB 28-Day $24 (was $50) is JULAUG.

Is promo code ESCAPE for a different SIM?

      @JamesLucas Thanks for the link.

      • Yes, I'm going for the 32GB sim

Remember that you can always chat Amaysim customer service to change the starting date of your new sim card after you have received it. Sim card with new number gets activated after purchase, even before you have received it from delivery.

    • Can I change the starting date of eSIM?

      • Try to chat Amaysim customer service from its website.

  • Anyone got theirs tracked yet on both cashback and topcashback?

    • Bought through Topcashback and tracked in around 25 minutes

  • Is there a way of seeing how long things on TCB take to track and what the time to approval is? They don't make it easy as SB or CR where it's displayed on the product page.

    • +1

@txb With tracking, it seems to be within half an hour to under 24 hours for TCB when I've shopped depending on the retailer. I don't know about amaysim as I haven't purchased from TCB. Don't think it's written specifically how long it takes to track for each retailer and this seems to be the same with CR and SB.

Unfortunately the estimated payment date doesn't seem to be shown at TCB unlike CR and SB. TCB states for all my transactions that the Estimated Payable is in 12 Weeks. The date of purchase is shown and we add 12 weeks (or 3 months) to get the estimated payment date. Some of my shopping were paid earlier than the 12 weeks.

Aha I see. Thanks Trixie, very helpful.

  • Does anyone know where can I find the expire date of the Amaysim sim card, before which date I have to activate the sim (not the date before which I have to activate in order to earn the cashback)? I can't seem to find any expire date printed on the package of the starter pack. Or I just missed it? Thanks.

    • I suggest you contact Amaysim to check on the expiry date as the Amaysim SIM may have been preactivated from the date you ordered. It may expire in 28 days automatically if you don't use the SIM within 28 days of ordering.

I'm new to Amaysim and also can't find an expiry date on the Amaysim packet.

My Amaysim from CR arrived preactivated. I contacted Amaysim when I was ready to use the SIM a few weeks later. Amaysim informed me it was already activated and would expire soon. I had to convince the agent that I hadn't activated or used the SIM. The agent then reset the expiry date to 28 days out of goodwill.

You may get a more helpful agent. There were comments here that the expiry date may automatically reset to 28 days when you insert the SIM but can be a hit or miss. Some people had to contact Amaysim to reset the expiry date as it didn't reset automatically.

      • Thank you for your message. Somehow I didn't get a new message notification from Ozbargain.

Anyway, I forgot to activate the sim I bought around mid June, so I reckon it would have already expired if preactivated. However, I chose to transfer my existing number to Amaysim. So there might be a chance that the sim didn't arrive preactivated although I am not sure. I don't really know how Amaysim works. Maybe someone more experienced knows more?

I will take your asvice to contact Amaysim to check if it was preactived / still valid.

  • Has anyone's cashbavk for recent purchase of Amaysim starter pack turned confirmed? Thanks.
