Air Canada Return from Sydney: Orlando $1205, Miami $1214 (Sep-Nov 2024, with Bags) @ Momondo

120

Air Canada giving more great fares, this time to Florida.
Departures are from Sydney only, all routes have 2 quick stops along the way (Vancouver, Toronto), checked bags etc included.
Dates are September to November 2024.
FYI for Miami, flights arrive and depart from Fort Lauderdale, around a 30 minute drive away.
Use Google Flights to see all the available dates; from there you can book through the airline (note that the cost may be higher if you book direct - but I just tried SYD - FLL and got $1214 on the Air Canada site). If you want to get the cheapest price, search your dates in Momondo and book through one of the OTAs (online travel agents) listed.

Sydney to Miami (FLL) - $1214

  • Can layovers in CA be extended - for 2 weeks :)

  • Don’t think air Canada is anything like a higher tier carrier.

In the past month, I’ve flown with them three times (it’s been a long time since I did). Cabin-wide advertising at the start. We had a free drink but paid food one direction, then everything required payment for the return flight. The entertainment sets were around 10-15 years old. The plane was older than anything I’ve seen in years. I ended up on standby for the first time in my life (booked the tickets 3 months ahead)

It’s not the worst company but they’re trying to straddle the “we’re not a bargain airline” while being a very cut back service. I can’t blame them too much, competition with US airlines would be hard.

So think of them as Jetstar+. And check the plane you’d fly on to see how old it is versus the competition.

    • +1

Just had a quick look, to FLL these are on a mix of Boing 777, 787 and Airbus 330.

And if anyone is interested, these prices are working direct through the airline, too

    • We had full service food and bev from Brisbane to Vancouver direct return over January. Not premium tier but I was quite pleased with the plane and service, particularly for the price. They weren’t stingy on anything and it was all very tidy.
