I agree to your comment, just like you I use the XBOX for kids Kinetic games and media player, but I didn't realize until I got the XBOX 360, that it needs a monthly subscription to get YouTube and SBS On Demand, such a RIP of, Thankfully my LG TV has both these and the ABC iView as free apps and I use that to watch these, But a good deal none the less,
Agreed its a fricking ripoff and even if we take deals like this we are still rewarding Microsoft for charging a membership for things that should be free. If I was going to pay a premium for access to YouTube, at the very least I would expect no ads. But now we have to pay Xbox Live AND then you get an insulting amount of Xbox dashboard ads, AND Youtube ads.
Microsoft really don't get a profit by selling their hardware unit. This is how they make the money. Read the article below.

That article is from 2005, and lets not forget they make money on all accessories and game licensing, plus XBLA games. I call shenanigans. Charging a premium membership for access to things that has no cost to Microsoft like Youtube and SBS on demand is just profit mongering.

Haven't Microsoft started to put region locks on Xbox Live codes now?
Curious to see if it works for those who have purchased already as this would be an amazing bargain if it works.
Complete opposite actually, they've removed region locks on Xbox Live codes. US Point cards used to not work on AU accounts, but now they do.
Denmark is clearly an EU country, whereas Microsoft has never known where to put Australia as a region. EU? US? So they eventually made us a separate category called AU. Now they can't be bothered enforcing extra Australian region-locking so they've unlocked US cards for us. But EU cards won't work on Australian accounts.
Edit: Crap, was going to buy this today, seems like this deal is expired.

its been 2 days, has anyone got their codes yet?
i got an email from dell stating i had given them an incomplete phone number, not sure how because i thought the order wouldnt proceed without a complete number.
i was informed if i dont provide a correct number within 3 days the order would be cancelled. i dont see the point of providing a phone number when they've successfully contacted me via email

mine has been charged to my card and I got the confirmation email, but I just got an email today saying that the delivery has been delayed until 5/12!
how an online code can be delayed is beyond me, it's just an email. pretty annoyed but we'll see how it pans out

Hmm its a good deal but I just use my xbox for media stuff, I guess you get YouTube and ABC/SBS which SHOULD be free anyway… Still upvoted, its a good deal.
