The old way vs the new way:

In the past, lodging your BAS and tax through an accountant was expensive and time-consuming because you were using clunky software that made the accountant's life easier but yours more complicated. For the 'privilege', they still charged you an arm and a leg.

Now you can lodge your tax from the same app you use for banking, invoicing and automated accounting with Thriday's integrated tax lodgment service.

To show you how it works, we're making it a no-brainer…

Switch to Thriday before 31 July 24, and we'll do your FY24 tax for free *

What do Thriday customers have to say?

"Great service and easy to implement. It has simplified my banking, accounting, and tax."

"I've just started a small business as a sole trader and was looking for something to help me manage a handful of invoices and quotes a month as well as manage expenses. What I got from Thriday was so much more and it was a very pleasant surprise. I even got a separate bank account with a card I could use for my business. It was exactly what I was after. In addition to this, there are heaps of time saving feature like automatic reconciliation when you upload receipts. My use case is basic but so far it's been very impressive. I've contacted support a couple of times to help and also to provide feedback. I've found them to be really good to deal with. My limited experience making enquiries with Xero was the exact opposite. I'm not an expert nor do I have complicated requirement but I do highly recommend Thriday for your small business accounting."

I have a feeling just as many others, once you are in, it will lock you into their subscription and no way to quit without loosing all your data in their system…

@orangutan the idea is that you want to stay because Thriday is a valuable tool for your business. But that's for you to decide. You're free to come and go as you please and you have access to your data.

    So… not free?

  • Where's the review from DavidBR?

  • Considering BAS is usually done quarterly, plus automated accounting through something like Xero means the figures are there at the press of a button to meet BAS compliance. Not sure paying $29.95 a month for just submitting those figures are a bargain. Accountant is used for trying to minimize tax and all the grey areas that come with financial business decisions.

You can do your tax for free on the ATO site.

At least if you pay an accountant they review your data, this is just an app and not an especially intelligent one, it seems.

    What we will not do:
We will not audit your accounts and therefore cannot form any opinion of their accuracy.
We will not be looking for irregularities or errors, including fraud and illegal acts. However, we will notify you if we suspect something might not be quite right.

$359.40 a year (subject to future price rises), more or less forever once your financials are locked into their system, isn't a bargain.

If you're a small trader and you haven't made any attempt to nut out how a BAS works you're setting yourself up for failure and/or an audit.

Also, the amount of SEO and shilling on the internet for this company is literally making my head hurt.
