I came across this when looking for a decent TV for myself. I am not sure how good this TV is in reality but looks good on paper and at an attractive price point.
Couldn't find any reviews for it either.

Just be aware Philips sometimes outsources the manufacturing of its products to OEM companies.

    The ambilight version is $699.

No idea how their LCDs are but a mate has the 55” OLED with 3 sided ambilight and it’s incredible.

    • Amazon page says this model has ambilight.

  • good for outdoor?

So many are saying that this isn't the OG Philips now, so where does this get rated equivalent to? PRISM+ like another no name brand?
It should have at least be above the quality of those newer brands popping up.

Exactly. It’s $599. Specs seem ok.

No Freeview wouldn’t worry me, but Philips site says it does have Freeview??

Only thing for me is it’s 86mm thick, too thick to look ok on a wall … but again it’s only $599. Seems a good deal to me.

    • Exactly the same model number too.

      Link says unavailable.

  • Manufacturer ‎Koninklijke Philips N.V. / Country/Region of origin ‎Netherlands are these details true? Not Chinese manufacturer.

Lol do you seriously think they’re manufacturing televisions in the netherlands? Maybe there’s a guy putting the plastic shell onto a Chinese tv, at the most.

  • Cannot get it to bundle with a soundbar like this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/856554.
    That would have been amazing!
Also can't find this TV on rtings… Not many reviews

  • Bought one with Ambilight last year . Was making weird noises when turned off like an explosion sound every couple of hourse lol seems like it’s a common problem with philips tvs and some tvs .. ambilight feature is amazing though

  • Well, I got the last one, let's see how it goes… @Sr1993e doesn't it have warranty? You can let them know that under Australian Consumer Law there's a 2 year warranty at the very least.
