Doesn't beep, sends it back for a refund

      • +2

The light marked dud flashed instead of the one marked stud so it is not faulty

      • +1

Who are we sending back for the refund?

    • Does it read "51MP"?

    • Only 3/4-inch depth?

Cheap stud finder - very good reviews

4.2 is hardly good. But could be worse.

If you want a proper and reliable one, go Franklin. Obviously different price point. Nothing beats a good finder that reduces likelihood of expensive mistakes.

4.2 stars / 5 isnt good, isnt it?

    • +12

Expensive mistake? Nah, use the proven tradie method: rapid fire nails until one sticks then smear some no more gaps over the dud nails with your empty maccas chip box. Stud found, and you've also reinforced your load bearing gyprock a bit while you're at it.

With all those nails in the wall, good luck trying to get your gyprock through airport security next time you want to take it on an overseas holiday.

Fellas why buy this when you can just take a peek at your bathroom mirror?

    • Just tried that, it works

    • +1

Cabinet maker gets to the work site, pulls out a mirror from his tool belt and puts it up against the wall and starts beeping at himself.

    • Can confirm

      Source: being a stud

    • Every time I do that, it cracks. Even puddles crack. :-/

Well, that's all well and good for all you non-vampire people.

I've just ordered one, along with some non-garlic bread pizzas.

A simple magnetic finder is much better, IMO. Reliable, no batteries, hard to break.

    • +4

If your magnet finds wood studs in your house, then you might have some issues.

      • +1

It finds the nails in the studs.

Tarts have no problems honing in and finding my stud super quick, no guesswork,

Do you recommend fruit, chocolate, custard or savory tarts best?

Also what cleaner do you recommend to remove the wall stains?

    Stud Finder, 3/4-Inch Depth

    Um, am I missing something?

  • +1

Why does it keep beeping when i turn it on?

    • +1

      Must be faulty

      • Or too much iron in your diet,

  • thanks op

never put a nail in my wall and i am ITCHING to try

  • Just use metal detector app in your phone.

  • No from me. Knowing my luck it will send me to @jv home, where i will have to drink VB, and watch Collingwood reruns with jv. ;)
