150,000 Membership Rewards points = 50,000 KrisFlyer miles
15K means 30% bonus ? But the 3:1 conversion rate was terrible

150k MR -> 65k KrisFlyer for my understanding

    Gonna wait for Asiamiles one.

Targeted? Doesn’t show up for me.

Perhaps a reminder that Krisflyer has policy that your points only valid for 3 years?

    • I thought it was 24 months?

Edit: Nvm it is 3 years

For me, still better transfer to US MRP and then covert to Krisflyer. 150k AU MRP would end up being around 100k SQ Points this way.

    • What is US MRP?

      • -1

        US Amex

        • How to transfer to US Amex?

          • +1

@lllliiooo: You need ahve an active US amex card.
This recommend doesn't even apply to 0.01% of Amex card holders in AU

            • @abs898: Almost every Amex card holder in the AU can get an US card if you really want. It is a popular "hack"

          • @lllliiooo: Google "Strategy to obtain US Amex", it's under AFF

            • @chino8826: Not that easy these days. I tried a couple of months ago, fail.

Just ended up getting the Centurion instead

Wouldn’t openly advertise how to do this

    • Definitely not worth the trouble. Especially the tax implications and potential legal consequences of this.

      • hahaha what tax implication and what legal consequences

        • +3

You’re becoming a US resident for tax purposes. Your owing a foreign debt, etc.

          • @WoodYouLikeSomeCash: you will be a foreign resident without even needing a ITIN and paying off US Amex is super simple, Revolut and Wise would easily do it.

  • +7

Personally, SQ transfers are dead to me ever since Amex increased the transfer ration from 2:1 to 3:1. Hopefully this never happens to the other transfer partners.

  • +3

It's better to trasnfer to velocity when there's a bonus then onto SQ

Maybe SQ saw too big a drop in redemtions so this is their way to get a chunk of miles bought.

    • Oh you can do that? I was thinking of booking my next trip with some miles.

I'm very new to actually using miles for flights.

  • Where do you see this offer, via email? There is nothing about this on the page you shared.

    • +1

Yes, the offer was sent via e-mail. OP should have provided a screenshot of it like so.
