I've been watching this since it released due to the sub-par Madman release we got locally (aren't they all?) which was heavy on banding and light on bonus features.

Anyway, this is the first I've seen it for under $30.

Other cheap titles I saw:

Thelma and Louise (Criterion 4k) ~$31

Picnic at Hanging Rock (Criterion 4k) ~$34

Gaspar Noe's Vortex (Blu-Ray, Region B) ~$9

Starship Troopers (Blu, region B) ~$10

Feel free to share other discoveries I may have missed or turn the above into a better post with links. I'm too exhausted to scavenge them all myself.

I sail the seven seas but love this movie so much might consider buying a physical copy

I'm glad I own a lot of the titles included in the Prime Day movie sales, otherwise I'd be looking for a payday lender to cover off a lot the deals available. Prime Day hasn't been amazing but physical media has been decent.

The Wailing 4k also down to $25.27!

This is pretty much a blind buy for me, but it sounds excellent! Also bought Thelma and Louise and Aliens earlier today 👌 got some good mail days ahead

    • I'd make sure to give Aliens a watch in the return window. The AI is terribly noticeable for me. You have faces mutating and contorting with features gliding like oil on water. Cameron has extraordinarily dubious taste to rubber stamp these recent 4k remasters.

Just watched the other day! Didn't like it 😢
Felt it had a boring story propped up by the directing.

  • Saw it at the cinemas, I kinda wish it was dubbed, it was very pretty to look at so I found myself not reading the subs a lot.
