Not bad :) Gold 850W Full Modular PCIe 5 ATX 3.0 $128.25 with free postage . ticks ALL the boxes.

This also has better reviews vs the Cooler Master power supplies

providing up to 450W for PCIe 5.0 graphic cards

Worth taking into consideration, especially if you plan on using it with a 4090/ plan on getting 5090 (rumored to be a 500w tdp)

    • Bear in mind that the PCIe slot itself also provides up to an additional 75W. Good point though, I don't personally like pushing power inputs right up to their limits.

$135 for the 850w version at a lot of stores but i havnt checked delivery costs there seems to be a thermaltake promotion going on

    • yea i did notice, maybe this model is on the way out or something. that would be a surprise though as it's relatively new.

  • Hmm, this 850W PSU or the Corsair RM850x $148 from https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/856492

rm850x is atx 2.4 vs 3.0 on the thermaltake, but otherwise they are both good psus with 10yr warranties. noise levels are comparable. tt is 2cm shallower, but it also has a smaller fan. the 750w model tested by cybenetics (referenced in the above hwbusters review) was actually slightly more efficient than their rm850x, fwiw.

personally, im taking the thermaltake but yeah again both are good

  • These days maybe 3.1 ATX PSU would be more future proof?

    • maybe, but the differences are minimal compared to 2.4 vs 3.0

      • Yeah but considering the price I'd personally spend a bit more and get 3.1
