    My freezer is starting to get full with all these KFC deals.

    • I just realize they don't taste any good after putting them inside the fridge.

        You can reheat them in an air fryer or oven for pretty good results compared to microwaving them

          Yep, microwave + airfryer combo is the best method. If you only use airfryer, they can get a bit dry by the time they are hot all the way through. I generally aim to get the chicken about 60-70% heated with the microwave, then airfryer on 150degrees for 3-5 mins. comes out perfect. You can even freeze hot chips and then reheat them this way.

          It's not good enough. KFC advertised 9 pieces of chicken for $9.99, but I got only 8 pieces today - and this isn't the first time. Others online have had the same experience. KFC appears maybe deliberately shortchanging customers to boost profits, especially on busy days when consumers are more likely to overlook discrepancies. If this tactic is deliberate, it takes advantage of consumers' trust and vulnerability, leading to deceptive conduct. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) needs to take action to protect consumers from unfair business practices and ensure companies honor their advertising claims. It's high time for the ACCC to:

          • Investigate if this is a systemic issue
          • Hold KFC accountable for regularly deceiving any customers
          • Protect consumers from ever being ripped off

          The cumulative effect of such practices can have a significant impact on consumers' wallets and trust in businesses. I feel cheated and shouldn't shut up - and let you take our money anymore
          like this, KFC.

              @x x: Exactly - It feels awful. KFC has a pattern of shortchanging customers, and I'm not the only one who got less than advertised. Now, you're sharing your experience with the 24 nuggets 'deal'. This is unacceptable and deceiving.

                  @capslock janitor: Please do share your findings. Ofcourse, while it is not expected to be a universal bad experience, every dissatisfied voice counts,
                  and even a few hundred or thousand instances can translate to significant profits for franchisers.

                @[Deactivated]: I don't think they done it on purpose. What do you expect when you have young kids working under the pump and getting paid peanuts? Probably they couldn't care less. Next time count the pieces before you leave the store.

              Mistakes happen, but multiple reports from various customers, including myself, suggest a business practice that prioritizes profits over customer satisfaction. It's vital to hold companies accountable for their actions and protect consumer rights.

          • @[Deactivated]: Fill out a feedback / complaint form on their website and ask for a partial refund. I’ve done it before with success. They ask for the receipt and it’s really minimal fuss. It helps customers and kfc in the end.

              @eggboi: Firstly, I appreciate your suggestion, but I'm looking for a more systemic solution.

              It's clear that a partial refund, while helpful in this instance, doesn't address the broader issue of KFC's egregious apparent practices. Others here, for example, are also victims.

              Any normal person would realize that we deserve better than being consistently shortchanged and misled. As well, KFC has not quickly acted upon concern raised as well. It's time to hold businesses accountable for their claims and ensure they honor their promises from the start.
              And meantime, I will delete KFC's apps.Together, those affected can push for change beyond individual refunds and demand a higher standard of transparency, fairness, and quality for a better experience for all customers, always.

      Add to cart then leave until tomorrow morning, order shortly after the store opens. Still working as of 2 days ago.

      • Do you proceed past payment screen, or is it fine to leave before that?

                        The 9 pieces is not a regular menu item, so it gets invalidated the next day.

                        That’s my guess anyway.

          No, can be picked up later in the day by opening the order back up in More tab > Account > Order History

          Yes, others have reported as being able to order several days later.

          Best to complete payment asap when store opens. You don't have to check in until you want to pick it up on that day.

      Each promo menu item has been removed from the menu (instead of just hidden) the day after for these July deals.

    • Eating this sometimes (not often) could reduce stress and feel so good while eating. It's part of small happiness ;-)

      Just walk 10k steps or exercise later if you worry about weight :P

          • @Quarter Pounder: If only all employees were like you. You seem to know your job. At my local KFC I see all new faces all the time. Most of them are slow af, and there are young kids that they don't seem to care. No planning whatsoever on deals like these. Waiting for me would be minimum 40 minutes. I had a 40 minute wait on the Hot wings deal.

    It's a good deal for the chicken only but I was planning to go visit the old man and split this with him for lunch. By the time you get a few boxes of chips and/or other sides the Cheap as Chips deal ends up being better value IMO.

          How about Hot and spicy for this 9 pcs :P try other sauce that you like. I love ABC original chilli sauce for KFC, real spicy and sweet. I don't like Tabasco.

            Though we use the ABC sauce at work sometimes, goes well with some dumplings.

              @Gervais fanboy: It's normal in my country to have KFC either with tomato sauce or chilli sauce. I suspect the chilli sauce is ABC chilli sauce inside KFC in my country. Also rice is available too. More revenue for them if they also sell rice as there are many more Asians now.

  • How many drumsticks are supposed to be in this anyone know? Was told they come frozen in a pack though last time i only received two drumsticks

      They don't come frozen - the typical 9 piece should include 2 ribs, 2 drumsticks, 2 wings, 1 beast and 2 thighs

      I got it last week and had 7 drumsticks. Was not particularly impressed.

    I had this the other day, they were pumped, chicken was looking and drenched in oil, the box almost fell apart.

    • agree. chicken was cooked in burnt oil, and turns out too dark, and taste nothing but burnt meat&flour…… need to avoid…..

  • I had this for lunch already, eat with white rice and ABC original chilli sauce 🤤. Taste good also with white rice as I don't like brown rice. Feeling and taste so good eating this way, compared with eating chicken only (boring if only chicken without chilli sauce at least, even better with rice). Put the rest in the fridge, cheap meals :P I chose all hot and spicy, no waiting :D Ordered and confirmed on the app before going out, so no waiting, at least not too long …

        In the app, only in certain stores like in Sydney Town Hall, Haymarket, Broadway (in front of Central station), etc.

      It wouldn't show in my app at first but I kept refreshing and eventually it popped up. Mine was delicious and I would order again.
