Hey OzBargainers! The original method to this deal in May 2024 has been patched from the latest update of the KFC app.

Shout out to @AwesomeAndrew and @ThristyCow who found the updated method for this hack for other addons.

Steps for this new workaround method working in July 2024:

  1. Go to the KFC website. Open two tabs of the KFC Website.
  2. Select the store you would like to order from.
  3. Once selected, search for "Double Combo Meal - Large" on Tab 1.
  4. In Tab 1, add the Double Combo Meal - Large to your cart, but do not exit from the Add Ons screen.
  5. Go to Tab 2, reload the page and go to the KFC Cart.
  6. In Tab 2, remove the Double Combo Meal - Large and close the tab.
  7. In Tab 1, click the button "Add 2 Sides for $6.95", and then go to the KFC Cart.
  8. You should now see this and can now customise which two sides you would like.

Possible side selections include:

  • Large Chips
  • Large Potato & Gravy
  • Large Coleslaw
  • Regular Gravy
  • 4 Dinner Rolls
  • 1.25L Pepsi Max, Pepsi, 7Up, Mountain Dew, Solo & Sunkist No Sugar

    It would be great if the adds on are chicken pieces, otherwise I wont pay 7 bucks just for chips and drink as I don't see they are that worth lol

      Yep, but that's a limited time promotion. Normally a large chips is >$5 on it's own. To utilise this hack most effectively you'd want to choose items that aren't part of a limited time promotion like the gravy or coleslaw, and buy the chips as their own individual item

    So my lunch was 4 pieces of chicken, 6 wicked wings, popcorn chicken, reg coleslaw, reg chips, large chips, and a Pepsi max.

    Not sure if it was the healthiest lunch, but it was wallet friendly I guess…

    Now time for a nap

        Yes i did it today. Follow step six carefully then remember to go back to tab 1 in step seven.

              @tobi3421: go into the cart (on the website) and down the bottom, underneath where it shows the 2 sides for $6.95, it will let you choose the sides. This was on a windows laptop, using Firefox, in case that makes any difference

                      @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: when you go into My Cart on the 2nd tab, does it show the large double combo and the ADD 2 sides for $6.95?

                      Click on the Customise link under the Add sides, it should change the page to FOMO WOW, and let you review and customise the sides.

                      I tried to copy and paste the link into another browser, but it comes up as an error and an empty cart
