NOTE!!! This system is the 'non AI' version. I couldnt seem to find the set with the 820D4-A cameras.
The set with the 820D4-A cameras can be found here at the official Reolink AU site for $751.99 Was $939.99

Reolink Amazon store 20-30% off across the store it seems.

I went with the 5mp kit 2y ago but at this price difference, I would just go for the 4k.

    I got this for $539.99 on Jan 3. Sales are pretty average this year :(

    In regards to the product, I am happy with it. Works well. I wired the cables in the roof, installed the cameras, put the NVR in a network cabinet and connected it to the router and switch. Added another camera to the mix and will install the doorbell when I get to it. Looking at adding in a Duo3 at some stage. I may need to look at expanding the hard drive but for what I am using it for currently does the job.

    App works pretty good - if you register the product on the app you get another 6 months warranty.

    I am yet to get my understanding around all the settings that can be done on the NVR but have to say it is very poor in regards to UI and usability. That is standard for these products I believe. Once you set it up you don't really need to access the NVR so you can survive the initial pain.

  • I want to pull the trigger on a second set of cameras and upgrade my older Reolink NVR but I find the NVR specs/versions so confusing. How do you know this one doesn't have AI and that the RLK8-820D4-A does? Is it the 820 part of the -A? And am I crazy but does this post confirm that the NVR in this post DOES include AI now (https://www.reddit.com/r/reolinkcam/comments/ycjkiy/4_camera…)? Cheers.

      I believe its the -A on the cameras, As far as I know the differences with the NVRs is the channel count and the HDD size

      RLK8 = 8ch, 2tb HDD
      RLK16 = 16ch, 3tb HDD
