Easiest plant to grow and give you fresh fruit .

We have blue Java aswell but being winter its struggling to survive. 😮💨 fruited just before winter.

They are a tropical fruit so winter does confuse the cycle ,
but try to keep as many healthy leaves on the plant as possible
right up until taking the bunch off .
And one main sucker will do to replace the existing plant .

My elderly neighbour has between 20 to 30 sugar finger banana plants on the go at any time. They attract cockroaches and rats. But the biggest problem is the flying foxes. They crap all over the place. It's gross and can really strip the paint off things. They also get super loud if they are competing with possums for the ripest bunch.
Just saying, if you decide to have banana plants in suburban areas, PLEASE be super considerate of the impact on your neighbours and try to minimise.

If you want to remove banana plants you simply cut down then roundup, you may have to repeat a couple of times but it will wipe them out .

Ever tried to get rid of ivy? I bought a machette 10 years ago and it was the best gardening purchase I've ever made. Goes through the scrubby stuff, the thick branches, and you can even chop through the thicker branches the size of a leg if you don't mind making a bit of a mess.
It's only 18 inches. I think you'll need something a bit heftier and with more weight for the thicker hordes

Me too but not for some anti Chinese product reason. The fiskars axes I have are amazing but I bought a "fiskars" bow saw from Hammerbarn that was Chinese and yeah it had the same colours but it just didn't feel right, couldn't tell it apart from any other cheap saw
