I try as well. Some of the Fiskars stuff (maybe most?) is made in Europe, if that was the case for this then I'd probably buy it.

Me too but not for some anti Chinese product reason. The fiskars axes I have are amazing but I bought a "fiskars" bow saw from Hammerbarn that was Chinese and yeah it had the same colours but it just didn't feel right, couldn't tell it apart from any other cheap saw

Just looking at ABS data out of interest. In 2022 - 2023 across Australia, 37% of homicides were carried out using a knife or other sharp instrument, compared to 11% using a firearm.
Which is pretty good considering every house in the country has a knife capable of killing someone in it

Well it's funny you should say that, it turns out the next most numerous homicide weapon category after knives is "hands and feet". So murderers gonna murder I suppose.
Hehe yeah. So those stats are kinda BS in this context. In Australia, guns are difficult to find and people will use the next most obvious available/weapon.
