Cheaper again than last time. Will probably keep dropping but I think this is the cheapest I've seen it.

Jokes about current Intel news aside, it's a CPU, it will outlive your use for it. Otherwise, it's shipped/sold by Amazon US via AU not a third party vendor so their policies apply. As for direct support to domestic AMD, not sure what their policies are on that, you could enquire with them if you're interested but again this will be significantly the least likely component to fail or be DoA.
Better hop on the AMD train while the Intel 13/14th gen train is well ablaze.
Best to wait a few weeks for the new AMD CPU's to come out before jumping aboard the AM5 platform. If anything prices for the older Zen4 chips will drop including the 5900X3D in this deal… Also prime day deals start in a few hours.
Yeah, think i might wait for the next gen amd cpus, the mighty intel 8700k will pull me through till end of sept when the 870e boards and new gen chips come out… its time to finally jump (the sinking) ship, better price, power use, performance and temperatures for gaming…will be interested to see as the 8700 is probably bottlenecking the latest gen graphics cards…

HODL. 9950x is back on the menu, boys!
If gaming, id probably spend the extra 40-50 odd bux and get the 7800X3D, which is also on sale..)
Wait, the 7800X3D is more expensive? 😱
AMD has confirmed July 31st as release date but hasn't talked about pricing yet.
Is this good for PCVR?
The V-cache chips all tend to improve the low 1% frame rates, so yes it'll be better than a non-X3D chip, but the 7800X3D will outperform the 7900X3D in many games because it has all 8 cores with V-cache, whereas the 7900X3D has V-cache on only 6 out of the 12 cores. If you're focused on gaming and PCVR you're probably better off going the 7800X3D, or the 7950X3D if you want both gaming and productivity.
How does warranty work for this?
