No more watches , one auto , one solar quartz , is more than enough for one lifetime ….
You need a couple of cheap beater watches too though. Usually a Casio & Skmei.
Would appreciate your advice, my dream watch as a gift for myself is the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch, is it worth it or is there something else that I should consider?
A $10,000 watch or a $200 Orient..
You may be on the wrong forum
I wanted a Rolex Submariner. I was ready to pull the trigger but then I thought about how I treat my watches. I then sold my collection of sub-$1k mechanical watches including a WW2 day/date wind-up and the last sale being an orange face Orient.
These days I wear:
*A really crap JAG that ran out of batteries 2 months ago (haven't had access to my watch tools to change it.
*A windup gold watch (some obscure brand) that was Dad's.
*A 1970s 6105 Seiko divers that I had restored in 2019.
My only regret with the Rolex is the missing out on the monetary gain.
That's not enough!
Nah you need a field, diver, dress and chronograph watch.
Does that include taxes and shipping?
Better off spending slightly more and getting a Mako II / III with sapphire, nothing particularly special about the Kano (but was a cool character in MK).
eg. red, $316
Otherwise ~$200 for non-sapphire is good:
Mako 2 Black SAA02001B3 JDM, $225
Seems they are on sale quite often.
