  • These things are pretty shit at navigating, forget their map, are scared of dark floors yet drive themselves off stairs. Tried different models, this one and L20. Also 2600mah battery is pathetic.

3 sent back faulty. Would recommend getting off Amazon for easier returns (pretty close to the price - 375 with coupon) when you realise you bought a lemon

That's not my experience. Navigation and general vacuuming performance is ok. It has a habit of distorting maps if sensors are not kept clean.

Best to save map copies so they can be restored.

The mop function is more like dragging its arse around like a dog with worms. Spreads the dogs around very evenly.

      • +3

Same, mine is so good at navigating. @dnutter are you talking about the same model?

      • which sensors do you mean?

(asking "for a friend" who has one that has made multiple copies of the house in the map, still navigates fine but just makes it harder to specify particular room to clean - without picking it up and taking it there, then it starts with that room. Against that small disadvantage, I guess there is a plus that I assume the server in insert country name here has the idea that my house is about 5 times as big as it actually is, and in a weird arrangement )

        • +4

          (my friend's house that is)

    • +1

haven't had an issue here with navigating or map issues. i have a map copy just in case but have never needed it.

    • +4

220 dollars it beats any robot vac in that price range

    • +7

Only recently purchased this model, absolutely the best robot vacuum in this price range by a long shot. Incredible performance, Lidar mapping is awesome and the map editing a breeze. Even with difficult areas ro clean and cats that like to get in its way and upset the system, the vacuum works it way around without fail to compete the cleaning map.

Are you sure you have the same model with the two spinning brushes?

      • same model yep. it replaced the L20 which lost its mind after yeeting itself off staircase.
glad it works for some folks but definately not my experience with 2 of this model unit. Bad batch perhaps, dunno. wont be buying ever again
The roborock is a couple hundred more, thats the one i got and works just fine

        • +1

No need to reply if you did it and expecting you did.

The first run as auto clean to successfully map the areas you wanted to edit and create virtual walls and restricted zones was completed correctly?

I've heard good things about Roborock but hope the Lubluelu stays reliable for me. Definitely weird when the amazon reviews for this model are so strong, would expect more issues in the reviews if this device had bigger problems.

    • Mine works great every time. Just follows the maps and sucks like a good little robot.

    • The first one bought forgot the map once or twice and did some weird navigating (strange circles & shapes) but after a full power down and resetting of the map it's been flawless. Bought another one (also SL60D) for downstairs.

    • Not my experience either so far, especially for the price. I had a $1000 Deebot T9+ that is shittier than this and died after 2 years.

    • I do agree that their flaws seem to be finding their way back to the dock as well as cleaning rooms where you dont' select to also clean the room they start in.

I probably only have issues 20% of the time, most of the time I just have it clean the room it starts in as well and there's no issue.

  • +1

Can i just buy the dock alone?

    • $160 amazon

      • +4

and I think is safe to do without anyone else with you

  • -3

The dock is useless, and the cleaner itself is not smart and the battery only last 40 mins or so that only enough to clean my bedroom twice worse than any other brands I bought,eg: Same low end xiaowa that lasts about 80-90 mins

    • +1

How absolutely huge is your bedroom? It can do our kitchen lounge and dining twice on one charge easily.

      • -2

Thats why I said its not smart,my bedroom only about 45M2,any other cleaners will have more battery when its done, this cleaner sometimes not even have enough battery done twice

        • +2

          That's an enormous bedroom lol

        • +1

          "Only" 9x5 metres?

          • @Ham Dragon: The bedroom come with a office and walk in/bath(this does not include in the 45m2 which I dont use the cleaner in bath and walkin) in one room,so its not a typecal 9*5,you can imagine like a studio in a house

        • +5

I think you don't have any issues with the vacuum and you just desperately needed somewhere to flex how big your bedroom is.

    • What does it do after it cleans your bedroom once? Doesn't it go and charge up? I don't understand. (Genuine question, I don't have one but I'm considering buying one.)

      • It will back to dock, but sometimes it will slip out itself and return to dock again, which sometimes happend at night, and its will scream“BACK TO THE DOCK" and start vacuum the cleaner

        • have you tried an update? That's not normal

          • @andresampras: There is no new update

            • +2

@yuisakas: then i'd say either you have a lemon, or your expectations are more aligned with a ~$1000 machine like a Roborock

OR, hear me out - maybe your dock position can be improved. Is it in a corner or somewhere hard to reach for the machine?

              • @andresampras: Either, guess might be a lemon but just too much problems to get a replace

                • @yuisakas: I don't think it is a lemon. The battery capacity is 2600mah which means the vacuum would cover 45m2 at best on 4000pa suction before needing to recharge for an hour.

Roborocks have ~5200mah batteries and can cover around 100m2 floor space on one charge.

                  • @skid: This robo also has 2 modes, quick cleaning (straight and zig zag) and mopping (Y shape). Y shape goes over every bit of the floor 3 times and this mode is set by default.

It changes the area covered before needing to charge drastically. (40m2 to 60m2 in one charge)

If you run the robo daily I recommend quick mode and Y mode once in awhile with full water dustbin.

    • Mine always runs for 70-80 mind a charge, enough to clean most rooms of my entire house

  • My experience with the price tag it comes with is very good. Maybe I haven’t used any other robo vacuum apart from this one.

  • Bought on the previous sale and tbh I wish I did more research before buying. To fill with water for mopping function this has to be done on the removal dustbin effectively everytime you're wanting to "mop" the house. I was anticipating I could just fill it up via the dock. Charging can be finicky, I've already had the removal dustbin replaced as water was touching the charging plates and caused issues. Disappointed that its disposal dustbins inside the dock, I was hoping it was just a container that could be easily emptied.

I feel like this product could have used with further research and development to eliminate these shortfalls, however for the price it's probably one of the most affordable robot vac's with mopping function.

    • +1

All valid points but look at the price you are paying! No other robot comes closer to this in this price range.

    • +2

I bought the larger dustbin rather than the dock in order to solve most of these issues. I set it to vacuum through the week into the large dustbin and then on the same day each week I swap in the stock dustbin prefilled with water and a clean mop pad, and empty the large dustbin. Then at the end of that day I swap back and reset the mopping pad and water.

This means it's hands off except for 1 day a week and there's no disposable products involved.

      • +1

Pretty smart idea, this might be the best option for me, cheers

  • Got the vac only from previous deal. We have 3 golden retrieved and set it to go 2 x per day on hard floors only and empty collection bin once a day (I don't expect it to keep up with dog hair on the carpet - have a V8 that does a great job for that). Don't use the mop option as without the spinning head its more of a gimmick than anything else. I am very happy with it for the price. Will be looking out for an auto-dock deal down the track but may also upgrade the internal collection bin (you can get replacements without the internal water storage leaving more room for dog hair).

Only thing I need to worry about is untangling the hair off the roller about once a week but that's a pretty easy job.

I am impressed with the room mapping and option to add exclusion zones and electronic walls.

  • $10 for each of the replacement bags for the empty station.

    • You can buy the SD80 dust bags and trim the cardboard guide with scissors to get them to slide into place. They're like $17 for 10 on Aliexpress. They're 0.5L smaller in capacity, but it works.

  • ended up returning ours, the thing would clog 3-4 times per cycle so we rarely used the auto dock, had to clean the house before this thing cleaned the house.. and that was on a daily clean with hardwood floors. unlike other posters ours seemed to map well but it did throw itself down the stairs without exclusion zones added

    • Clog with what?

Robot Vacuums often struggle with long hairs, but I'm confused as to what your vacuum would be clogging with that would prevent it from working.

  • I have the SL60D and I've had the Lefant N3 which retails much much higher, and the lulubleu SL60D is way better and you cannot get a better robot at their price range. From mapping to navigating to speed of cleaning - Lulubleu all the way

  • +1

What's better? This one or the L15?

  • I've never owned a robot vac. We've got mostly hardwood floors so I think mopping function might be useful, sounds like this unit's mopping function isn't great. Are there any units around this price point (say under $600) that have decent mopping functionality?

Also, we have a toddler and an infant, is a robot vacuum going to drive us nuts with toys left on the ground for the next 15 years?

    • +1

Each mop type works the same, if its a flat mop, all the vacuum brands have a similar effectiveness which is… not bad but not great.

If you want a better mop, you need to get the actual rotating brushes which are expensive but at least appear to work a lot better.

So overall, if you are looking at vacuums with a flat mop, just get a lubluelu as the expensive flat mops won't work any better.

  • +1

I bought the SL60D a month ago for $200 inc postage (thanks eBay) and I must say it's a good product. No trouble mapping my house, and it does a good job vacuuming on tiles.

The only thing you need to watch out for is anything long and thin on the ground, like string or a strip of paper. It'll jam the roller and stop the robot until you clear the error.

  • I've had my SL60D for a couple of months now. Cleans well both ground level (tiled and carpeted) and upstairs (all carpet).
I find it takes about 30 minutes to vacuum the ground level, which is the kitchen, dining / lounge, hallway, and a study (total 33m2) and has about 60% battery left. When it mops that area it takes about twice as long. I found the mopping to be sufficient for my needs. It's better than nothing. I have dogs, and lately with the wetter weather there are always slight dog prints on the tiles which this robot seems to tidy up just fine.
It takes longer to do upstairs as usually only have the robot vacuum 1 or 2 rooms at a time, then I empty it. Because it gets under the beds, the dust bin gets full quite quickly. It has never thrown itself off my stairs, which is great.
Overall its been a great machine for the price! A beast that just keeps doing its job. I even found it one day dragging my daughters school bag along the house, as one of the bag straps got caught up in the roller .. but it didn't stop this little beast continuing along the house haha.

  • How does this compare with Ecovacs Deeboth Neo 2 Plus? Any suggestion which one is better?
    Thanks

  • How does this compare to Roborock Q7 Max+ Robot Vacuum with Auto-Empty Dock for $599 ?
