    Now $99

You just had a 100% cashback offer 2 or so weeks back lol. Unless the post is to advise everyone it is "Now" no longer free?

Anyway I would steer clear, their activation process gave me so much stress and inconvenienced me so much rather than focusing on my business. Read other comments from the other deals.

    Get Square instead.

      Sounds like Zeller….won't be a best-seller?

So this is normal price right now - $99 ? Everyday price is not bargain. No Bargain listed for everyday price.
      This just ads
Please put it on OZEverydayPrice.com.au or OZNoBargain.com.au

    • Can't speak for Zeller - but anything would have to be better than Square.

While the Square 'signup/activation' might be straight forward - they will hold your funds to ransom and demand an unreasonable amount of confidential information - before transferring your funds.

As an infrequent square user of about 4 years - and previously having to jump through 'hoops' (provide ID, business registration details, customer details, transaction details, etc) on early transactions - I thought that pain was behind me.

A couple of weeks ago 27th June (2nd last business day of the financial year) I processed a large moto (card not present transaction) that should have settled next business day. Square identified this transaction as unusual to my previous usage - which is entirely true.

Unreasonably instead of flagging this before processing the transaction - they accepted/processed the transaction against the card and then froze my account and required 18 documents / responses with an estimated 1-3 business days review time (pushing this into the next financial year).

      Required responses included:
Personal ID - (passport or drivers license)
      Business Registration documents
      Customer invoices
      Supplier invoices
current + 2 previous months of business transaction bank statements
complete customer correspondence trail from start of the transaction to present day
      Contact details for the customer
      service contracts
      sales terms/returns polices

Along with answers to more pertinent questions like why the change to my usual transaction types, why was the card not present, what was the transaction for, etc.

I would prefer to know upfront what is required to use a service (square/zeller/whatever) so that I can make an informed decision to use the service - not have funds frozen and be held to ransom for a large amount of confidential information at a hugely inconvenient time.

if you 'Get Square' - prepare to have your funds locked - plenty of horror stories online

I signed up with Zeller 3 months ago and it was a straight forward easy process. If you have high sales then it's a good idea to give them a call to discuss pricing. Best if you have a merchant statement from your existing provider.

I've had one transaction flagged for fraud as it was a high value MOTO payment. It was also straight forward process to provide the information they requested to clear it.

I recall their previous 100% cashback did require a minimum transaction limit. This offer may be more applicable to people who have low sales.

Always be suspicious of any product without clear upfront pricing where you instead need to 'contact sales'

    • Yup anything without a straight fee or percentage up front is sketchy.

Volume based charges are code for "we can screw you over once we want to"

Their standard pricing is pretty well documented on their website similar to how other providers like Square document theirs. Just like the other providers, they also have a note somewhere to contact them if you have high sales.

    • Thank you for your comment. With our promotions, there is no requirement to contact a salesperson. On the product page, there is a button next to 'Contact Sales' that you can click to 'Sign Up Free,' allowing you to sign up independently. Contacting sales is an option for those who would like some human assistance.

You can find more information about our pricing here - https://www.myzeller.com/pricing

      • Case and point. Your website is designed in a way to improve the likelihood of people contacting sales instead of just making an account.

  • I use them and found it easy and seamless set up.

low fees and easy to use

  • Wish this price would apply to existing customers. I would like a 2nd one

  • We switched from Square to Zeller last year - fairly easy setup process, machine works a treat, surcharging works as expected (plus lower fees - 1.4% vs 1.6% for in person payments, 1.7% vs 2.2% for MOTO and 1.7% + 25c for online capture).

We're a fairly low volume transactor (maybe one or two transactions a week) and going from the Square reader with a tablet that we were going to have to replace anyway due to it usually taking five minutes just to get to a point where we could start a transaction (because it was old) to the dedicated Zeller machine where the entire transaction in a minute has been great, and as it looks like a "real" EFTPOS machine, customers are more easily able to use it.

If you have POS software that links with PC-EFTPOS\Linkly, you can also use the Zeller machines with that too - something you can't do with Square.

The feature where we can send a payment link via the online web portal to our clients for them to fill in their card details themselves as opposed to taking details over the phone is great as well.
