Only 3 months? Not a good deal.

I signed up to the NBN 50 with discount first 6 months. The issue I had with Kogan NBN was there's no option to set activation date. Also, they just don't give you any activation information ie which UniD port to use, whats the username and password etc.

Seems they’re using IPoE so no username and password is required. If you’re sure there’s no other active service on your NTD, just try the ports one by one as all inactive ports won’t even handshake and light LED.

      • Joined last month for the 6 month discount. They use pppoe and require any random email and password but can't leave it blank. Overall seemless porting from fttn Exetel.

        • Yes I agreed, mine was seamless porting from Tangerine. However, I was expecting some form of communication ie, 'that's nothing you have to do on your end, it will all be ported over automatically blablabla..'.

    • Sounds like all the big players. I had a similar problem with Optus. Couldn't even get myOptus app working. Tech support 3 times to check why my packet loss was 45%. All they did was NBN line test and I am like. It is like doing an engine check but obviously something wrong with the tires as you are not getting the output onto the tarmac. Worst was I've been trying to use the internet for 3 days and they said your NBN is "pending" and get put through to activations and they said, can't see anything wrong, I can see you are using the internet.

      • I can see you are using the internet.

        I lol'ed. 😅

Vodafone backbone? Interesting to try out for me as the price is OK, and I’ve been on Telstra/ABB/Vocus/SL before but never on Voda.

    IPoE as well.

    • Like to know how it is for gaming

    • It's PPPoE, also dynamic public IPv4 available.
