Zenbooks are generally the more premium line of laptops vs the Vivobooks however the poorish specs don't justify it.

The specs look fine to me. What's the issue?

        The price

          What's better deal?

@ubcool: If you have better one, please post a deal

          • @ubcool: This has a newer significantly faster per core and more power efficient CPU architecture, way faster graphics with a 5 year newer architecture and is substantially cheaper. The two extra cores almost certainly won't make up the difference overall for laptop use. Zen 3 isn't worth this price in 2024, even with a nice screen. Don't be mislead by the 7 in the front, this is a rebadged 5000 series chip. Ryzen 7 version of that laptop is also cheaper than this one.

@sachk: Zen3+ is actually lot better on idle efficiency and battery life than Zen4 due to the IO die not being super scuffed, it's just worse at full load efficiency.

Most of the laptops that moved from Zen3+ (6000 / 7x30) to Zen4 lost 40-50% battery runtime just because of that. Blade 14, G14 etc are some of the more obvious examples.

I would take a 6900hs or 7730u over a 8645hs anyday unless I was planning to use the laptop only plugged in.

              • @HPdeskjet: Isn't this Zen 3 not Zen 3+? I was under the impression the 7x35 chips were Zen 3+ and AMD's website says this is zen 3 too. Didn't know about the zen 4 mobile power issues, interesting.

For this money I'd expect a 7x4x chip

  • What's the real life battery life like on this?

  • This comes with Vega 12 igpu

    • Vega 8 it seems

      • you are right, some stupid websites said 12

Can someone give me their perks code I've used my mobile…

    • Go to the original deal post, find the "looking for a code" link, and post there. The comment section isn't for requesting codes

      • I was able to figure out how to get it anyways, all good
