      This Half Strength Full Flavour is a new blend, same concept as the one you and Mrs. C enjoyed so much, this time the caf component is Moments to Memories.         Well, we have MTM on the go already and I've just filled the second grinder with the Special Monocle Blend so I'll forward order a Kg of the 1/2 Strength MTM to replace the regular when it runs out.

        Interesting fact: I also bought 500g of the SO you used in the other 1/2 strength blend and found it a bit 'meh' in flavour. Yet, when mixed with the decaf the two of them worked really well together.

          Hmm interesting, very happy to hear our 50:50 range is not only living up to its half strength but also "full flavour" name. My guess is you're talking about our Peru SO and not our Brazil SO? Our Peru coffee is intended to be the SO that's not polarising, it's it's simply a sweet cup of energy, not overwhelmingly loved and not hated, simply a tasty cup, this is generally the case for quality coffees featuring sweet earthy notes like the Peru does. When our SWP Decaf is added into the mix it's compliments the sweet earthy notes, with malt chocolate, somewhat similar to a milkshake or sorts :)

      I'm not sure if/when we'll have more Geisha, but hopefully we will feature it again in the future. The first cup of coffee I have every morning is a pour over usually follow by an espresso and double ristretto flat white, so I can confirm all the coffees in this deal work really well as Pour Overs :)

      Plunger grind is not currently available on this deal, but with that notion in mind we do have a Porlex hand grinder available at ~27% off RRP, making it only $95 instead of $129.95, might be a good opportunity to improve your coffee experience ten fold by grinding on demand, just food (coffee) for thought!

        While I can certainly appreciate the your helpfulness (i'll be buying beans from you soon!). If anyone is interested in a hand grinder, I would strongly suggest not going with porlex. For the same price point, you could do much, much better — such as any from the kingrinder series.

        I own both the porlex and a K2, the difference is substantial.

      Never hurts to ask!

      Right now these are the only coffees featured in a deal. However, we are starting to line up some very very exciting (well at least I think so) new Single Origins which will launch later this year, including SOs from regions of the world we've never featured. Generally speaking many of our featured SOs make an appearance in our blends, so our blends are of the same quality as our SOs. That said Blends are usually less polarising in flavour, so I can completely appreciate how someone may find certain Single Origins exciting :)

      The grind setting depends on two primary facts plus a number of environmental factors, but let's focus on the primary factors for now. First, the equipment you are making coffee with. Second, the use/age of your burrs. What's make and model of equipment are you making coffee with?

      Both great questions and I only wish my answers could be equally great. Our Thank You blend will be around for the foreseeable future and is currently available at regular price; I'm sure we'll have a deal on it again in the future, I'm just not quite sure when are of right now. With regard to the Panama Geisha, it's so rare that I don't know when/if we'll ever get it again. However, I can promise I'll continue my hawkeye search for any absolute gems that I can offer Lime Bluers, so I've got my fingers crossed we can offer more Panama Geisha to the Community again in the future :)

          Good call, I only saw the notifications about this this morning, so playing catch up!

          I'll reply directly on that post today. For anyone on this post wondering about that other unsolicited post, we haven't forgotten you and there will be something for you later this year similar to that post. However, the offer in the other post referred to by @WatchNerd is still in the early testing phase, so it needs a lot of tweaks from learnings before something similar is ready for this terrific community. For example, by design there's no space for an address; the process it a follow up call in line with the T & Cs (we're a fairly small team so we don't yet have the resources to make 1,000 calls a day so if everyone jumps on it we'll be in a bit of strife) and I'm sure many in the community would be more happy with a simple button click rather than a follow up phone call :)

    I had an incredible Campos latte at the flagship cafe in Newtown recently. I suspect its primarily due to the skill of the baristas there, but I'm considering upgrading from the medium roast Aldi beans at home to see if I can taste a difference. Is there any specific blend that might be most similar to Campos Superior? I only drink milk coffees.

    Can you confirm my understanding that the half strength "just" a 50/50 (weight based not volumetric) mix post roasting of the Moments to Memories and the Swiss Water Process Decaf.

    Both are some of my "regular rotation". Could I right now make myself a trial cup of the "The half strength Full flavour blend" by weighing 9g + 9g of my beans (giving them a quick shake/stir so they are mixed) and then grinding them and making my double shot?

      I can promise you that's not intentional, if it was it would have been more than a year in the making as our free shipping threshold has been consistent for over 12 months!

      It's just how the numbers work out, you can tweak the product selections slightly to unlock free shipping :)
