In before watchnerd to advise that only the bracelet is stainless steel. The actual watch case and lens is resin.

    • Can someone confirm if the lens/crystal is acrylic or mineral glass? There's no definite answer online.

      • @WatchNerd - can you confirm?

        • +7

This has a mineral lens & the width is 35.5mm according to Casio.

If you already have the A158W then theres no point in getting this as its far too similar in design.

You're better off waiting for this one to go one sale as it has a better and different style bracelet and cleaner look.

Agreed, just pick up the A158 for $35 (or A168) to satisfy your vintage Casio needs.

$63 is getting up there, there are all $20 watches to be honest.

Also it's worth buying from 'sold by Amazon' Not the monster trading store, A couple of dollars extra for peace of mind. I can't guarantee third-party sellers are selling legit casios.

        • Yeah probably fine, they seem to sell a lot.

I wouldn't trust ebay for these though, it's the most copied casio watch (F91W).
Good to check the usual identifiers for authenticity (like both button tests, country of manufacture, screw types, small 'u' under the word RESIST.

As cool and iconic these are I still can't imagine wearing it much/at all, if you have better watchs & G-shocks lying around.
I have tried the F91W and F105. They are also very small in real life and doesn't sit evenly on my wrist.

    • Cool video 👍. Seems like a decent Casio, not as iconic but very 80s. The amber backlight is better (at the expense of battery) . Still with the conversion rate is a lot more than US$25 as stated.
