@unity1: Depends on the carrier and the flights you choose. Probably around $2000 AUD is a good enough range.
You seem to be an expert in this, what can 180K points do?
The best use will be a one way Business Class Classic Reward fare from Australia to Europe or North America (150k)
If you can get 216K points you can get a return Classic Reward fare to Los Angeles or San Francisco in Business Class
The real problem is trying to get a couple of tickets on the same flight. For later this year we snagged a couple of business tickets from Melbourne to Paris Qatar on Velocity. We are flying back economy from Vienna to Dubai, then first/business from Dubai to Sydney Emirates with Qantas points, then economy from Sydney to Melbourne with Virgin money from a credit card.
You need to be flexible on dates, the airlines you travel on, the cities you start/end from, being willing to mix classes.

True but worth adding you’ll likely need gold status or higher to secure the business class seats you want (especially leaving and coming to aus). Even with that it is still hard(takes luck) to secure this 318k trip
Just did it with silver staus with ease. Getting in and out of Australia legs was the easiest. Getting out of asia on routes i wanted was the hardest.

Save your points for classic rewards, classic upgrade rewards, or heck even classic reward plus is a lot better value for money than this.
Don’t spend your points on this!!! Save your points for flights, they’re just trying to get you to waste your hard earned points with this promotion!!
Absolute worse use of your points. 318k points can get you a Oneworld Round The World Fare with 8 Stops in Business Class. Or use it for Classic Upgrade Requests or other Classic Reward seats.
Also op, please reflect in the title that its 15% off all Apple and Beats products when using Points, not cash.
