I have 2 brush drills still work after 15 years but one Ozito brushless drill only last less than 12 months. Luckily it has a five-year warranty, so I took it to Bunnings and they gave me a new one with another five-year warranty.

For a home user this doesn't matter one bit, you aren't going to wear out the brushes unless you're using them every day.
And battery life isn’t a huge concern either
The brushless versions are more powerful, which definitely matters with these 12v tools.
Yep, but you're not getting brushless versions at this price - if you want the extra power, you need to pay significantly more.
i have a few of the Bosch 12v tools.. Your elbows and arms will thank you if you need to do anything shoulder height or higher. Although brushless is better
Well it was never going to replace the 18v version and it its not supposed to.
Right tool for the right job, you wouldn't eat a bowl of soup woth a teaspoon either.
