Great monitor. Love mine.
How would this compare to Xiaomi Curved Gaming Monitor 34" BHR5126CN
https://www.umart.com.au/product/xiaomi-curved-gaming-monito…
DELL is cheaper.
I'll go with Dell for longer warranty
Had both. Dell much nicer
Same. Agreed that Dell is nicer.
Really tempting OP, had been thinking of getting this MSI 34, but now am considering this despite the “refurb” element….
that MSI is crap. this model from Dell is much better
Thanks. Google says similarly so will pull the trigger and charge the controllers , thanks OP for the deal !
Great find!
Some technical tips for S3422DWG Buyers:
Update firmware for Nvidia G-Sync compatibility
Response Speed to "Super Fast" to prevent black smearing
Refresh Rate to 120Hz to greatly reduce flickering for Nvidia cards at 60 FPS. (No need for this if your FPS remains above 60)
Thanks! Now where the hell is my usb cable to connect my monitor to my PC…
remember to use topcashback for the 12% cashback. Dont use any promo code too
Are you sure cash back is valid for dell outlet ? I have used the TopCashback, still awaiting a cashback captured notification.
Ger now im not too sure. Need TA to confirm
Bought one. Returned my same monitor brought from normal dell store at 490$ a week back. From what I have heard dell’s refurbished monitors are as good as new. Taken my chance.
Is there no charge for doing so?
Nope. I have chosen a pickup from my home. While filling the form and submitting it, it didn’t show any charge for it.
Free return
Yes it’s free return.
OOS
There should be few more in stock as we ended up cancelling our orders as these VA panel monitors have slow black to gray pixel transition speed, which results in noticeable trailing behind fast-moving objects in dark scenes. Don’t think good for games or movies I know price is ok but not much use
I had one of these monitors for a while and barely noticed it. It's nitpicking IMO
I personally visited a friend's place to check it out and, while it is a budget line product, the quality didn't quite meet our (4 of us) expectations. However, I'm just letting everyone know that there are still a few more in stock. If anyone is interested, they should definitely give it a try!
My thoughts exactly after owning this monitor for 2+ years.
@techie8055: You should put it on 'superfast' response speed. There is no ghosting on mine
You think?
2 negged comments above talking about this monitor being VA. Why?
VA screen owners?
Yes curious to know why negged this deal
Is it not worth at 5his price point
All gone now anyway.
I had one before. The backlight leaking is horrible. It 8: just an ok monitor.
Those that managed to put through an order, whats the order status? Mine seems to stuck at pending approval for couple of days now
Same here
Mine arrived today approx 4pm. Its diffinitely refurbished. No dead pixels, came updated with latest firmware, no noticeable smearing based on light testing, some imperfection with the bottom frame not well curved to match the screen, arrived in a dell branded big brown box. Otherwise all good so far
No update on my end at all - I sent them an email to follow up and will post if they respond….
Beside using rrting icc profile and set response speed to super fast, what are the other settings to change?
