  • Thanks, do I get a Tax invoice ?

      Don’t you prefer a sim card ?

      • I suspect they prefer an EOFY tax deduction?

        • Yeah just wantted to know if I can add this to tax claim. :)

    • A PDF invoice will be sent together with tracking details.

  • good deal.. probably the best value and service provider for prepaid imo

    • Anything better poatpaid? There really aren't many options for the full telstra network.

      • I believe you are right. I was with boost, moved over to woolies and it's not the same. Boost - superior

Good deal, thanks for the solution to leave Belong.

    • +2

I had a terrible experience with Belong, I can’t remember what it was now but I do remember to choose to not Belong.

  • What do you mean add $3 for extra optus sim, I dont want to have to call Boost customer support, gotten away with it too many times.

    • +1

It’s to help you port out and back in

      • +2

Yeah, im wondering where do I add the extra optus sim at $3

        • There is a checkbox on the listing page to add the Optus SIM

    • Good point , cant tell that to this crowd though

  • Looking for something I can receive SMS too when travelling for 2FA and is talked as an esim. I see this can swap to an esim so good start. MasterCard and Visa etc Adivising the banks you're overseas isn't necessarily enough.for online booking of airafres, accomodation.

I am with ALDI (also Telstra) they have some (20 and another 20 with limited ) but not some of the counties in SE Asia I travel to (Laos for example) I usually go for a local SIM for data.

This does mention I can send 1200 SMS to any country in the world but what about receive ?

    • 1200 SMS is for use in Australia. There is no restriction in receiving SMS from any country when you are in Australia
You can't send SMS out of Australia unless you have an active roaming pack
Seems you can receive SMS without roaming pack.

      • boost has wifi calling, you can send and receive text and make and receive calls anywhere in the world as long as you are connected to wifi

Mine expires on 25th Jul. OP what happens if I use this after the expiry date?

    • Would like to know this too @Auditech?

Do you lose the bonus data or do you get whatever the deal is at the time of activation?

    • What expires?

    • +1

Deal says expiry in 2025… Do you think they meant 2024!!? I was about to buy based off 2025!

      • Lol.. thanks for pointing that out.. I read it wrong. I'll grab this deal

      • You have 12 months (or whatever it says) to activate the sim but any 'bonus' data offered at the time has an earlier activation date.

  • Hi rep, how long does postage to Sydney metro (normal and express) typically take from placing an order?

    • Normally 1-2 business days to Sydney metro

Cashrewards has $50 cashback on $230 plan on Boost Mobile official site. Just FYI

    • I was about to comment this. Note that only applies to physical sim card. You'll have to activate e-sim in app once you activated the sim card

  • +1

    Same as cash rewards.

  • Do OW PM this?

    • In the concurrent deal from Luckys mobile - someone commented that OW wouldnt match because there was no product code on Luckys website - whatever this means.
Can't see any product code on Boosts website

OW has Product Code:BOOSTKT230 and if you search google its obvious that the code is OW specific

You just have to be polite, persistent and reasoned when talking to officeworks to pricematch.

Say everyone has EOFY sales so this is essentially market price at the moment. Give them examples - eg if they dont like Lucky Mobile, theres also Audio Tech and Cell Point etc (and show them).

Say this has to be Australian stock because it is an Australian sim (as distinct from buying mobile phones which can be grey stock). All the online sellers should have ABNs - so they are legit businesses.

As a last resort, ask them to point out in the terms and conditions where it says they cannot price match sim cards and you will leave if they show it to you. (Obviously there is no such such exclusion in Officeworks PM T&Cs).

  • When does the Optus $12 Prepaid SIM with 5GB data - 7 day expiry expire?

    • Mar 2026
