  • No difference to this, just a shorter validity code. Pointless post.

@alvian That deal is for the older application and feature set.
Through this deal users can get the recently launched product (1st June) which includes more servers and features.

Note: We have also updated the servers and feature set of all users who have purchased our subscription from Jan 2022 onwards.

      • +2

Both deals go to the same page. (https://fastestvpn.com/pro-lifetime-deal) Are you saying that depending on the promo code used, your users will receive different apps?

        • -2

          Yes,
We have decided to increase the price of our Pro Lifetime plan because we are continuously improving our product, including our servers and feature set. However, before implementing this price increase, we want to introduce this new product at the current price.

          • +2

@adammiller12: There is no product differentiation. Both deals go to the same product page: Pro Lifetime deal. There is no indication on the product page that shows your customers will receive different apps depending on the coupon used to purchase the deal. Everything identical except the coupon code.

Enjoy this neg for trying to mislead us.

            • @alvian: You believe the neg will stop anyone to post ads on ozb?

              • +4

@HolyCr4p: I believe the neg will make our users think twice before rushing to beat the deal "expiry" date.

                • +1

@alvian: I suggest to chg the neg to temporary ban

                  • +2

@HolyCr4p: There is no reason for imposing any kind of ban. This deal post does not infringe on our guidelines that would require a ban or a removal. As a user, I question the usefulness of this shorter expiry coupon and I doubt the truthfulness of the rep's response, hence the neg vote.

                    • @alvian: Only me and some people who has got balls to neg their crap What happen next? They still post it here again and we neg them. Again, they post it again and never ending circle

                      • @HolyCr4p: The criteria for vote-based performance ban is detailed here. This ban is automatically calculated and imposed by the server based on voting statistics. How moderators feel about a store or their rep has nothing to do with whether or not the ban is applied.

                        • @alvian: I suggest to tweak the criteria for vote coz they never work. I prefer to see real bargain rather seeing ads

                          • @HolyCr4p: So because people may not like a poster and neg them, they can be banned? Just because certain people may not like a bargain or heavens forbid, a poster, why should that have them banned.

Let's say for arguments sake, someone posts a beef jerky deal and the Vegans/Vegitarians neg neg neg it, why should they be banned?

                • @Lizard Spock: I am not acting as a moderator. If I am then my comments will be clearly marked. When acting as moderators, we seldom cast votes.

                • @Lizard Spock: Do you believe it will stop them to come back to post more crap deals?

              • @HolyCr4p: Are you not Prolife? Time plan

              • @HolyCr4p:

You believe the neg will stop anyone to post ads on ozb?

If a rep posts too many deals that are poorly received they get banned. So yes, negs do stop ads on ozb.

Puts me off subscribing to your “lifetime” plan if existing purchases aren’t getting relevant features included as your infrastructure develops. Price increases for new users I get but falling behind in feature set I’m less onboard with. I mean sure, you’re getting what you paid for, but I would probably expect access to additional servers etc as things grow over time, within reason.

Comes across as a way to sell people a second lifetime plan tbh. I also can’t imagine you’ll want to maintain multiple offerings for too long.

            • +1

@Smigit: These guys are scammers. This is the second time they have rereleased the pro plan, except the first time they actually pulled features to put in the 'pro' plan.
              Buyer beware

      Hi @askbargain

It will be a pleasure to meet you live. My email id: [email protected]

  • This or Nord/SurfShark?

    • Hi @BatmanAU

If you want to test our product. Please visit our website and ask our live customer support to issue you a free trial account. Please give them a reference of Ozbargain.

      • Will check it out, see how you guys go

    • This or Nord/SurfShark?

Neither. But especially avoid any provider selling “lifetime” subscriptions.

      • Don’t tell me you prefer CyberGhost or IPVanish

        • Mullvad, iVPN, AirVPN last time I went digging into the providers.

          • @PainToad: Hmmm Mullvad, where have i heard of that one before

          • @PainToad: Oh that wasnt a good start.

An error occurred during a connection to mullvad.net. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

            Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG

            • @BatmanAU: Hi @BatmanAU

I would appreciate you if you share your experience with our product as well.

              • @adammiller12: I have heard from some chatter that you use PureVPN servers, is it true that buying this is basically like paying for lifetime PureVPN? This is quite good if true since most people avoid lifetime deals because they deem the product/network to be subpar to the paid ones. In addition, if I bought before 2022, I need to buy again to take advantage of this new UI + servers?

                • @noshopping: They don't appear to be using PureVPN servers. As for example I can access Reedit with FastestVPN, but not PureVPN.

              • @adammiller12: Do you still store user login details for your Windows app in plain text? TechRadar said it was a complaint in their review of your VPN last year.

  • Thanks. Adding it to my list of lifetime subscriptions. Not going to miss out on 97% off.

    • If it does what you need it to do, its a BARGAIN!

  • I bought a lifetime subscription about five years ago and this VPN works ok I occasionally use it. What anoys me is that they constantly add new features and exclude them from previous lifetime subscription users. For example I can only access around 15 countries and not the rest.

  • Hmm … so the real question is … are the current lst of countries enough for my current requirements.
