Sure thing here it is
How do you use this to order online?
Thanks mate.
You can't. You have to price beat in store.
this or an AX3200 d-link m32 system for $149? https://www.mobileciti.com.au/d-link-m32-eagle-pro-ai-ax3200…
Deco is far more reliable
Picked up the 2 pack the other day, it was a bit of a pain to setup for some reason, every time I'd add the extender they would connect together and the internet would stop working. Had to do a full setup from scratch 3 times before I got them working. Been about a week or two and the only issue is maybe on day two the extender was connected as wifi to the main one but wasn't actually extending the network, restarted and no issues since.
So yeah, cheap, but a little bit finicky so far.
Seems like better spec for less
What is the difference between the x20 and these x50?
X50 is more powerful and has better range.
This also has 3 ethernet ports per unit
Bunnings not listening anymore?
Works for me.
I get Error 404
Sorry, page not found!
Just came to my local Bunnings Wangara and they have told me that item is suspended on the system.
@WesthamAreMassive: There's no stock in WA.
@WesthamAreMassive: Quick! A competitor is selling an item for cheaper and we don’t want to have to beat their price by what we promise! Let’s delete it from our system and pull the item from sale until this blows over…
I got the price match at bunnings, vic for $245.
Bunnings have listed this item as special order now. This means you cannot claim pricebeat!
I don't see that anywhere on their website.
Not related but I got Eufy doorbell through special order clubbed with pricebeat. So not sure why Bunnings will not honor in this case.
Picked a trio up during the last sale. Have been solid since, with the IoT network being useful. Few less features in the app than my Deco M5 but nothing I miss. First few days was a bit flaky but it's settled now and haven't had any issues since. Solid AX performance and excellent range.
Any ideas if the parental controls are good ? Or what the missing features are compared to M5?
I do not use these features but I know the Deco M5 had a Trend Micro powered service. The X50 seems to let me set up controls for Web filtering, time of use and multiple profile, but I can't compare this directly.
One feature I noticed missing include the speed test option from the Deco itself. The entire Deco Labs section only has 2 options, one of which is a VPN - supports NordVPN and SurfShark. I don't recall the M5 had this option which might be a plus. The IoT feature is new - essentially allowing 3 SSIDs (standard, Guest and IOT) with ability to pick frequency for each.
M5 was a different class, while the X50 is faster. it's just not in the same league as the M5 that was rock solid.
TP-Link do keep adding features to the X50, these are some recent features I recall.
- Guest Captive Portal
- Wireless Schedule
- VPN Client and Server (built into the X50)
- Connection preferences (this is for the nodes, always have let you select connection preference per device)
But a lot of the parental controls is behind a Paywall. (I don't use but, it's cheaper via a iOS Turkie subscription, well it was when I checked it out.
Hmm,, just recently purchased TP-Link Deco AX1800, 3pk with X20's for $220… considering refunding and purchasing this, but debating whether to run the Officeworks/Bunnings pricebeats tomorrow…
Officeworks and Bunnings won’t price match because Digidirect says awaiting stock
Lucky I purchased last night
This is available in TGG commercial for $283.
However, I decided to purchase XE75 (3 pack) for $440.
I am constantly getting around 900++mbps using Superloop. No regrets for buying XE75.
My google Nest wifi is only giving me 200mbps for a 1GB plan.
I was thinking about getting the XE75 but 1) I have bugger all 6E devices and 2) I'm probably better off going straight to WiFi 7 (despite not helping reason 1).
where did you find the XE75 3 pack at that price?
The Good Guys commercial.
It is still $440 as of now.
i was thinking of getting the eero 6+ since a 2 pack is 300 bucks if i join leaptel. should i just get this instead?
I have the eero 3 pack, both speed and range are not outstanding but serviceable, app is really good though setup process is very easy. Cannot comment on the 6+ however never used one.
Bought the 3 pack not long ago. Works very well for a 2 storey house with multiple devices. Used to only get 40-50mbps upstairs, now getting consistent 100-107mbps in every room (on nbn100 plan). Easy set up on iphone with their app.
Worth it!
I have an ASUS RT-AX1800S router, would I be able to use these for a seamless mesh experience or would they end up just working like a normal extender network with a different SSID to my router and needing the user to manually switch WiFi network?
The latter, best to use these to replace the router or use in AP mode and disable the WiFi on your router.
Digidirect is now showing 'Awaiting stock'.
Bunnings will never price match an 'out of stock' item.
Got 1 price matched an hour ago, guess they didn't look too close.
Anyone know if I can I combine with a powerline wifi adapter (TP-Link AV 2000)?
My thinking is:
Plug the powerline adapter in to the modem and put the other powerline adapter down the far end of my weird shaped house.
Plug the master Deco into the powerline adapter then spread the mesh from there?
Yes these support ethernet backhaul, however will likely work better than powerline with wireless. This pack has three, they will bond to the strongest node, or you can configure manually.
Ethernet over Powerline is very hit and miss and performance drops over distance. If you already have one, run a speed test over the powerline and then run one with the Decos connected wirelessly to see what gives a better speed. If you don't have one already, just know that a 3pk of Decos will cover a fairly large area, standard 3br homes can often get away with a single unit.
Every time I see a Mesh deal, i plan that i will do some research on the best one and buy next time, every time i forget.
Ca someone compare Deco, Asus etc etc ?
I've can't say I've tested them all but I've put in a number a different brands of mesh systems and my preference is Deco, they just work like they're supposed to in my experience.
Which one of Deco? Is it better than Asus aswell?
I've installed many different Deco units they've all been good except maybe the VDSL model, if you're not sure just go with WiFi 6 like the x20 or these x50. Ive never tried Asus so I can't say but i doubt they'll be better, it will come down to personal preference.
Picked them up today for $224 at Bunnings
How?
Can you share the invoice please?
Pick it up from TGGC for $265. Bunnings didnt want to know about price beat due to it being on backorder (they get so touchy about it).
Showing up as 283 for me, does it show up as different prices for different states
Maybe different rates depending on expenditure? Still showing $265
Can any one post the bunnings receipt here please?
