TAXTIME200

Sorry it took so long to be back with another deal but the long tail on our last couple of deals here have really been keeping us swamped with orders, especially with the EOFY mayhem! Finally have a deal worthy offering to offer as a refresh with many of the core specs of the last deals now sold out.

With the Ryzen 9000 series CPUs just around the corner, our motherboard of choice offers solid high end VRM solution to make for a quick and easy drop in upgrade down the line (possibly after a required bios update which will no doubt be out around launch) for most if not the full 9000 range. AMD themselves have come out and said the 7800X3D will still be the gaming king at least until the X3D variants of the 9000 series are launched at a yet to be determined point in the future…

  • AMD Ryzen 5 7500F (7600X / 7800X3D optional)
  • MSI B650M Gaming Plus WiFi (ATX version optional)
  • MSI RTX4070 Super Ventus 2x 12G OC [Black sold out, white still available] or Asus RX 7900 GRE Dual OC 16G (+ 4060 / 4070 Ti Super / 4080 Super^ options)
  • Team T-Force 32GB (2x16G) RGB 6000MHz Expo Ready DDR5 Black (white kit optional)
  • Jonsbo CR-1000 EVO RGB Tower Air Cooler (AK400 Black / White / Digital + 240/360m AIO options)
  • Montech Sky One Lite A-RGB Mid Tower Black (9 other options, including various white ones)
  • MSI 750W PCI-E Gen5 80+ Bronze ATX3.0 A750BN^ Power Supply (750W/850W Gold options)
  • Lexar 1TB NM710 5000MBs Gen4 NVMe SSD (NQ790 7000MB/s optional, as well as 2/4TB NM790's)
  • Secondary drives optional (multiple 1/2/4TB NVMe options)
  • BYO O/S (or Windows 11 Home from +$175 / Pro +$299)

Total after $200 discount with code 'TAXTIME200' : $1709 (RX7900 GRE Config) vs $1955 PCPP | $1769 (RTX4070 Super Config) vs $1975 PCPP

Click the 'more options' text below the default selections to get a list off the options for each category of component!

^ RTX4080 Super requires 750W Gold or higher with 450w or higher 12VHP connector. The 750W Bronze model 12VHP connector caps out at 300w which is plenty for all other GPU options but insufficient for the 4080 Super.

Without naming names, there's some comparable deals out there with similar specs but we think we stand out in a few key areas:
- The MSI Gaming Plus WiFi is a much higher end motherboard than the non PLUS variant or Gigabyte Gaming WiFi variants being used with its 10+2+1 Dual Phase VRM, 10gbps Type-C (rear and mid), 4x DIMM slots, 2x NVMe SSD ports & latest-gen WiFi 6E AX + BT 5.3 (vs budget 5+2+2 vrm / no Type-C / 2x DIMM slots / 1x NVMe Port, last-gen WiFi 6 AC & BT 4.2 on the Gigabyte board)
- Chassis with USB Type-C & Built in RGB Controller (Competing deals sometimes offer Type-C but the default / only motherboard option doesn't have a header to connect it to?)
- More & more fairly priced options, particularly the 7800X3D upgrade! (eg $276 $299* us vs +$350 in the most recent competing deal) *had to restock to keep deal going at slightly higher but still great price.

Plus the less tangibles like:
- More favorable warranty terms with up to 5 year warranty on PSU / SSD / RAM instead of just a flat 3 (or only 1 year in one particular instance).
- Heavily subsidized & extremely speedy FedEx delivery nation-wide.
- 11+ years in business with 4.9 star Google Review average, for a bit of extra peace of mind that we'll still be around years down the line should anything go wrong.

Questions regarding Windows licenses & installation
- Yes, our licenses are 100% genuine OEM or retail licenses purchased directly from Microsoft authorized distributors. Physical copies of these products are provided with the PC including the license key cards and installation flash drive (for retail licenses) or COA stickers (for OEM licenses). Any system builder that doesn't provide these could be charging you full price for a grey market key of significantly less value and questionable origin. Always demand the physical copies!
- Yes, if you purchase Windows from us we will have it pre-installed, setup, updated and with all the required drivers pre-installed ready to go out of the box.
- No we cannot pre-install Windows for anyone who doesn't purchase a genuine license. We'd love to offer this as a service for those who already have a genuine license but selling a PC pre-loaded with Windows without a license purchase is strictly forbidden by Microsoft.
- Yes, if you have a genuine retail license you can provide to us and that we can validate as genuine, we can activate it for you and provide the PC with Windows pre-installed. Contact us after placing your order with your order number and license details to arrange. OEM or volume keys cannot be accepted as they are non transferable to new systems.

Update (5:45pm 28/06)

Unprecedented rate of orders on this deal! Wow. We're restocking as much as possible to keen the deal live for as long as possible but from this point moving forward we're adding 2-3+ lead time on the original advertised turn around (from 5-7 now to 5-10 business days) for new orders to make sure we can keep up. We'll still be doing everything we can to turn these around as quickly as possible (including plenty of weekend and after hours OT!), but we also won't be cutting any corners on the most time consuming QA & burn in testing phases, so please bear with us while get these all processed.

Update (7:35pm 30/06)

You guys are relentless! As much as we hate to have to do it; orders placed from here on out have an extended dispatch ETA yet again. We'll be working around the clock all hands on deck, but there are literally hundreds of orders to get through and they just keep coming. We'll keep updating the dispatch ETAs on the landing page, right at the top. Consider them a good faith estimate only, not a guarantee. We'll be doing all we can to both keep them up to date and accurate while also getting orders shipped as quickly as possible!

Update (5:55pm 08/07)

The allotment of RTX4070 Super Ventus 2X Black OC for this deal is sold out, still have a limited quantity of RX7900 GRE & RTX4070 White Ventus 2X OC for those who want to jump in the last minute.

As for lead times on existing orders, we're doing out best! A lot you who got in early probably already have your PC by now, we're pumping out a bunch of these systems every single day but there's still quiet the backlog to run through. Appreciate everyone's patience in the meantime!

Hi Eva, can I use this for anything other than gaming ?

    • +6

A gaming PC is really just a standard PC with a decent enough CPU, GPU and RAM combo to run games. If anything it's overkill for the majority of standard office desktop use cases. What use cases did you have in mind? If it's something specialized there might be better suited hardware combo's even if a gaming PC can get the job done.

  • +4

I've had my PC from Evatech for around 2 months and the communication, build quality and shipping quality/times were amazing. Highly recommend. This deals even better than the one I got 😅

    • ❤️

    • +5

      Each to their own!
If you've got a case in mind, you're more than welcome to drop it here in the comments or shoot it through via our contact form, and if we can make it work we can add it into the config as an option, or do it as a one-off for you if necessary.

  • Purchased a custom "BYO GPU" build from Evatech a few months ago and can vouch for their service, quality and lead times. Would highly recommend them to anyone.
Communication was great and flexibility was much better than some of the other stores that advertise on here. I was able to take one of the Evatech builds as a price reference for the discount and then swap out parts to suit my needs, without any issues.
If you'd like to change the motherboard or case for example, just shoot them an email or give them a call, that's what I did :)
Their range of cases is much more broad than what's on their site for example, so worth checking

    • This build is almost close to what is build myself except for case options and maybe CPU cooler. Wonder what other cases they can offer.

      • +1

I went through a few options myself before settling on what I chose and nearly anything I threw their way from fractal design to antec was an option. Only the more obscure options weren't.
I was initially planning to build myself but it ended up cheaper with Evatech.
I also added a 360mm AIO that only cost $80 extra compared to the fan cooler that's included.
It's their in-house brand but so far so good.
I'm sure an arctic cooler or lian-li would've been better but then again there's the considerable price difference.

  • hmmm…. Gaming PC <> TAXTIME anything, unless you're a pro player/streamer who makes income off it.

    • +9

Our invoice doesn't state "gaming PC", because to be fair (as above) a gaming PC is simply an overkill home/office PC, and many professional/office use-cases benefit from gaming hardware, such as CAD, video editing, etc.
Plus, customers are always welcome to pre-emptively spend their tax refund on whatever they like!

    • +5

Just because it has gaming on it, doesnt mean thats the only thing it can be used for. Plenty of designers and engineers need cpu/gpu on par with gaming specs.

    • +1

This is as gaming pc as it is video editing pc as it is photo editing pc as it is GenAI programming pc as it is 3d modelling pc… the list goes on

  • Interesting how you guys also have access to the GRE cards. I thought PLE was the only retailer in australia which offered them haha.
Benchmarks are here btw for anyone interested:

Personally I'd recommend the 4070 super despite the slightly lower frames they make up for it with their other nvidia features

    • how about the 16gb vs 12gb?

      • I don't think it's that big a deal as everyone makes it out to be in my experience. granted I don't play super high graphics games but it's been fine for my usage. using 4070ti with 12gb and it's been quite nice.

  • Love the comparison. great deal

  • Good deal. Basically a PC for the price of all the individual components. So assembly and delivery are for free. Really good if you just want a good gaming pc and you don’t want to go through trouble of picking components, sourcing and assembling all by yourself

  • Any chance of a smaller form factor case?

  • @evatech I had this one from a different seller. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/758616
I am pretty happy with the order, except 2 things.
1.the loud noise from the fan
2.occasionally lose sound for half second(still not sure why). I connected it to a 4K TV.

I am going to buy this deal as I need a more powerful PC. I understand the previous deal was not from your company, but I just want to make sure those 2 issue won't happen. And if you can please let me know why that happen? Sorry, I am not a tech guy, only know some basic programming.

And do I need the CPU upgrade? How will the difference be like?

    • Fans are adjustable. We set pretty modest curves in the BIOS to keep noise levels to a minimum under light load, but allow for a good ramp up when things heat up so as to no sacrifice performance.

We can't speak to the issue with the sound as we're not exactly sure what the current cause is. All we can say is that we're not aware of any of our customers experiencing such an issue. At least none that have reported it to us. It could be the HDMI port, it could be a driver issue, it could the cable, or even the TV… Hard to say without being able to troubleshoot and rule in or out the possibilities one by one.

As for the CPU, the baseline 7500F CPU will out perform the 11400F in most scenarios but a step up to the 7800X3D option would blow it out of the water.

  • I bought their previous deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/843500 a month ago.
Absolute phenomenal service from start to finish. Their CS even replied to me enquiry email at 10pm Sunday, 10 mins after me sending out the message.

This deal is much sweeter to the previous deal with the GC cos I chose 7800XT back then. Wish I could take this one and switch to 7900GRE.

    • Thanks for weighing in!

Yeah, as is typically the case if you play the OzBargain game after purchasing, you will find it at a lower price, or something better at the same price, etc. We just offer the best we can negotiate with our suppliers and brand reps at any given time, and this time around we were given a better deal here and there to sweeten the deal. Nothing personal against you, promise. =D

Hi @evatech. I'm keen to pull the trigger with a few options including 64GB of RAM but only 5600MHz sticks are offered for 64GB?

Can I get 64GB of higher frequency RAM?

    • Managed to track down some Kingston Fury kits, 6000/CL36. A bit pricey compared to the 5600MHz option from Corsair but still the best option we can find currently in stock anywhere. Already added to the list of RAM options :)

  • Very close to pulling the trigger given the good reputation and quicker turnaround. Was looking at upgrading to 4070 tis mainly for the extra vram but $450 was a bit steep. Do I really need 16gb vram if I only doing 1440p gaming? Review seems controversial

    • Mostly no, but depends on a game by game basis. If you need extra VRAM the 7900 GRE is a great option, especially at the price point. Very solid raster gaming performance and 16GB frame buffer. A bit of a downgrade if you're running with RTX on and DLSS but on the DLSS front, AMD's FSR is slowly but surely improving and already not bad at all.

  • @evatech
Is it possible to do an option to remove the GPU so I could look at doing a BYO gpu style?

    • Sorry, not for this particular deal. Significant portion of the 'deal' discount is tied to the GPU behind the scenes.

  • Do you guys have a white version of the Jonsbo cooler?

    • We don't at the moment, but the white AK400 option we do have looks fantastic in all white themed builds.

  • When does this deal end?

    Thanks

    • Keeping it live as long as we can, but there a limited allotment of discounted inventory, so it's 'while stocks last'.

      • Just put an order through, thanks!

  • When does the sapphire 7900 gpu come back in stock, is it okay to purchase a pc now and wait till the stock comes in to swap it out?

    • No Sapphire cards due any time soon, just the Asus 7900GRE for the foreseeable future, particularly with this deal. Sorry.

  • Ouch! I was planning to order the PC but then I see the build to order time has been extended to 28 days

    • +1

That's a worst case scenario, hopefully sooner! Our build team is the best in the biz and working around the clock. Hense this reply to your comment at midnight 😅

I can't say exact numbers but lets just say the 3 digit number of systems we forecasted to sell as part of this particular deal over a 2 week period, was exceeded in a 4 hour windows Sunday afternoon…

As we start getting through the queue we'll re-evaluate and adjust the advertised lead time accordingly. All orders are being processed strictly on a first in, first out basis. If you are keen on the deal, we suggest locking in sooner rather than later.

  • Hi evatech, I made an order a few days ago, and am currently having second thights on choosing the 4070 super over the 7900gre. Could I please have my GPU changed to the GRE instead?

    • shouldn't be a problem! If you haven't already, shoot our sales team a message via the contact page on our website with your request and order #.
