Hi everyone,

UPDATE

These are selling like hotcakes! We've run out of distributor stock of the 11400F so need to source through alternative means. Unfortunately, that means a price increase of $20. This should be automatically applied in the builder.

We're also out of stock of the 500GB SSD that's the base option. There are other options within the builder.

The base price with these changes is $949.00

Thanks for all your support!

    Phenom value!

  • Appreciate if someone can recommend any upgrade (s) to future proof this a bit?

    • +7

It will be cheaper to buy a new complete system in the future. This spec is very balanced as it is.

      • +1

This. The best you could probably do with it for now is a cpu upgrade and ram upgrade.

      • +1

Part of what makes PC's fantastic, is that you don't need to buy complete systems. You upgrade piecemeal. As you need. I would buy this machine just to rip that 3060 ti out of it for another system, and then have the rest run a linux machine / server, but that's just me.

        • A linux server doing what?

          • @Gamer Dad Reviews: Whatever? 6 core, 16GB of ram, good enough to run all the docker containers you need, can be a Plex server, can run some VM. You're basically getting a 3060ti for a great price, and a system alongside it for bargain basement.

        • Do you think it's best to upgrade the motherboard that has wifi, or to get the wifi card separately? I'm adding some upgrades so maybe in the future I use those parts. I've never had a desktop before and been prowling these deals and forums for a few weeks, learning as I go. Thanks.

          • @[Deactivated]: Neither of the motherboards on the build have Wi-Fi. You'd have to upgrade to the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card in the configurator!

Always new things to learn in PCs!

            • @enigmapc: Ohhh gee thanks for that, I'm really sorry haha, well done. I must've looked at the wrong thing or got confused with another post.

  • As somebody who hasn't had a gaming PC for over 20 years, I'm definitely not in the know about these deals and with so many to deals over the past few weeks, it's overwhelming.

With that being said, would this be able to decently run Microsoft flight simulator and light photo/video editing (i.e not professional editing )?

I figure the most intensive thing I'll do is the either of the above.

    • Flight sim can definitely run well at 1080p on this system. Definitely would suit what you need :)

      • Thanks for the prompt response
Is there any worthwhile upgrades that would help with either light video/photo editing or playing the resource hungry Microsoft flight simulator - or is it a case that it'll work well straight out of the box?

So far I'm looking at upgrading to include the ASUS PCE AX3000 so that I can use the PC with wifi

        • I reckon it’s fine as it is for that. Maybe the cpu upgrade would be worth it for Flight Sim.

The wifi card is super quick too. Best on the market right now I think. It’s Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.

          • @enigmapc: I pulled the trigger, but kept the CPU as is, worst case scenario I'll run flight simulator on XBOX or low settings. Thanks heaps, look forward to the PC :)

            • @eltito: Great stuff! You'll love it.

    • RTX 3060Ti in this system is a ripper of a card, one of the best mid-range.

  • +5

    Quality budget PC! Insane Value!
    Well Played.
I'd be cancelling them techfast orders lol.

    • +3

We think we hit the spot on the value part!

      • Yeah, just a bit mate. I'm getting my popcorn out.
edit: The "Quality" part is the important one tho.

        • +5

Now that is the hard part to get right.

      • -4

Value if you follow the false narrative of the GPU only mattering for gaming. I will give you credit for not trying to offload that 3060 8GB rubbish, though. Can't be awarding Nvidia's deceptive practices. 3060ti is actually a legit proposition.

  • Is the primary difference between this config and techfast i5-10400F equivalent ($868) the fact that enigma call out the parts they’re using? I’m finding it hard to chose either way or decide to just wait for better prices (not sure when drops will level off)?! Any assistance welcomed!

    • This PC has an 11400F, 3200MHz CL16 RAM and a pretty decent 500GB NVMe M.2 drive!

      • Thanks, but I misread the $868 techfast specs, which are:
        Core i5 11400F processor
RTX 3060 Ti 8GB graphics Card (brand/model may vary)
        Intel H510 Motherboard
        16GB 3200MHz (2x8) RAM
        480GB Sata SSD
        650B +80 PSU

Not much to distinguish the builds?

        • +17

          Ah fair.

Motherboard is a better op as it’s a B560 chipset which is superior to the H510 chipset. It’s a full ATX board with 2 M.2 slots for fast NVMe storage and 4 RAM slots.

RAM is better in this build as it’s CL16 vs CL22.

The SSD in this build is an M.2 NVMe drive, which is much faster than a SATA SSD.

  • +1

These are great deals but a front panel USB type C port case option would be nice

  • Damn I purchased $1249 deal from you!

    • +1

Still a great deal and definitely worth the parts that are in them! Thanks for ordering :)

Do you have your PC yet?

  • Is the supplied PSU decent?

I remember Gigabyte PSUs were exploding a while back.

    • +4

      Yeah it definitely is.

Those were fixed a while ago. This psu is a pretty standard one that is used in most pre-builds across the country. So 100% good to go!

      • Thanks.

  • Just FYI for everyone, the Parts list prices are in USD, so even better value than it seems.

    • Cheers for the heads up!

  • Damn. These PC wars are heating up. Anyone had experience cancelling with BPCTech? I’ll definitely be calling as soon as they open to cancel my order.

    • How did you go with the cancellation?

      • +2

No issues. My order was two days ago and “parts weren’t allocated”.

They didn’t ask any questions and were friendly enough. Also notable they dropped the price of the one I bought by $100.

  • Hey OP your posted RAM price is in US$ it should be ~AUD$60, I didn't check others, so the value is even better.

    • +4

Cheers! Bloody PCPartPicker sometimes! Always sets me to USA lol

      All fixed now.

  • Thoughts on buying this for someone who doesn't game? Gf is a teacher and works at home a lot - her old computer has shat itself and she likes to work on her computer/dual monitor setup so she can be more efficient.

Might be overkill but pretty cheap nonetheless

    • +1

This should be perfectly fine for that use. The 3060 ti would easily be able to handle it!

    • +6

      Huge overkill.

3 quarters of the price of this is the GPU (we're still in the tail end of the GPU price crisis).

If not gaming, look at used ex-office PCs. You can get a system similar to this for basic tasks (but no GPU) under $300.

Even that is probably overkill, the under $200 ones are more than enough for web and ms office.

      • Hi @GandalfTheCheap, could you please suggest any used PC with i7 (a bit recent gen), 16GB RAM and 500GB SSD and which can dock to two monitors?
Need for normal browsing and Photo Editing (Adobe and Light Room). Sorry I am not that tech savvy to find on my own.
The refurb listing here are normally 3 months warranty.

    • +3

Go for a refurbed office machine, there's little point in paying an extra ~$500 for capabilities you/she won't be taking advantage of.

      • Hi @CrispyChrispy, could you please suggest any used/refurb PC with i7 (a bit recent gen), 16GB RAM and 500GB SSD and which can dock to two monitors?
Need for normal browsing and Photo Editing (Adobe and Light Room) and NO gaming at all. Sorry I am not that tech savvy to find on my own.
The refurb listing here are normally 3 months warranty.

    • +2

Get a $200 used office pc.

      • Hi @Naigrabzo, could you please suggest any used PC with i7 (a bit recent gen), 16GB RAM and 500GB SSD and which can dock to two monitors? I was almost buying this when I saw your comment.

        • So from what I can see. You should get this build and ask for GPU to be sent in the original box. Then you can sell the GPU! :)

    • +1

She will want the 3060 for extra ompf on onlyfans - great side gig for teachers

  • Any chance buying this pc build without the gpu? Got RX6900 XT atm so I though I might just put that in the system instead getting new gpu.

    • +2

May as well buy it as is and sell the 3060ti for ~$500+ or what ever they are going for on eBay currently.

    • You could buy this and ask for the gpu to be sent in the original box and sell it, plenty of people have done so from techfast/bpc deals.

  • Anyone knows how much power such PC uses when playing a decent game? My rough guess is around ~150W.

  • Still dropping premium builds on Thursdays? Fingers crossed for a 4080 build. The 4090 was a touch too premium for me :)

    • +2

Not this week unfortunately. Didn’t get the best reception on it. We can definitely do a 4080 build. I’m pretty sure stock is low right now though.

      • I was waiting in anticipation for a high end build today. So dissapointed

        • Sorry buddy! Shoot us a PM and we can sort something out.

          • @enigmapc: Have my upvote for lighting quick response!

        • Just make one yourself, so easy!!

      • With raising interest rates still on the table there’s going to be less disposable income to spend. I think from a business point of view you would want to focus on budget builds this year…

  • +2

This is crazy pricing indeed! I don't see any profit from it at all. Why? Sacrifice profit for marketing purposes? Are you a big company then?

    • +2

They will be big once they become popular on OZB.

  • +1

    Ordered, great deal!!

  • +2

The heat is on. Pretty good time to be looking for a new PC right now.

  • +2

    Great deal - thanks OP.

Any chance you could offer a budget 'All AMD' build in future?
    For example: Ryzen 5600 - B550 (PCIE Gen4 compatible) - RX6600XT/6700 ?

    • +2

Working on it :) Keep your eyes peeled.

    • Does AMD GPU have same features as NVIDIA?

      • +2

NVIDIA has advantage with RTX (and DLSS although AMD is not far behind with their FSR).
But you will need mid-top tier cards (like minimum 3060ti/3070 to take proper advantage of RT cores).

However if you dont need RTX feature, then AMD cards are much better value.
Plus you can get few extra free frames when coupling the compatible GPU and CPU
Example: re-BAR works with all current gen PCIE4 GPU/CPU, however AMD 5000 CPU and RDNA2/3 GPU is required for Smart Access Memory.

TLDR - if you dont need RTX feature, then best bang for buck combo would be Ryzen 5000 CPU with RDNA 6000 GPU as long as you have a PCIE Gen4 Motherboard

  • +1

Is the $300 worth it over the 3060 builds? Indecisive!

    • I would like to see the option to spec either graphics, because the other builders arent NSW based.

    • +1

If you think about how much more performance you are getting for the extra money, I would say yes.

The question is if you need the extra performance. If you just need an office PC that can play casual games the 3060 builds are ok

      • Yeah, I'm currently running a 2060 laptop, but I'm going into the office more and more so it's a pain to have to unplug everything!

Think I'll hold out till Monday see if anything else comes around.

But I agree the 3060ti will make 2k gaming just that bit better.

        • What about 4k performance?

          • +1

@mr_asstight: I think 100 fps is a bit of a stretch for 4k, 2k on high you'd get around 120-130 on most triple AAA games.

    • Depends on your use case. Consensus seems to be that performance difference is 15-20% in favour of TI flavour.
      - If gaming mostly on 1080p, the 3060 will most likely suffice.
      - If gaming at higher resolutions, the 3060TI makes much more sense
      - if also doing other GPU intensive stuff (e.g. machine learning/AI), the 3060TI makes much more sense

      • I could be mistaken here, but I think the 15-20% better performance figure is in comparison to the 3060 12gb. All these 3060 deals are for the 3060 8gb version which has even worse performance. So the performance difference might be even greater.

        • indeed - could've sworn I was looking at 8GB 3060 vs the TI, but even when doing that explicitly, majority of sites seems to talk about 12GB even if not overly noticeably mentioned :-(
This link here seems to distinguish properly:
          https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3060-with-8gb…

And yes, in their 12-game average graph it shows that 12GB is around 17% faster than 8GB.
The 3060TI in that graph is 20% faster than the 12GB, but I also just noticed there are Ti cards with GDDR6 and then with GDDR6X, where the X has ~35% higher bandwith than the non-X… pretty hard to keep up with all these sub-flavours. So yeah, which Ti flavour they used in that test is undisclosed.

Either way, even the 8GB has a 1080p average of close to 100FPS so it still looks like for most games it's fine for that resolution.

  • Does it have WiFi or does anyone know how I get get wifi with this build?

    • +1

You can upgrade to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth within the configurator.

  • Just saw you guys are actually 5 mins from my house! Always worried about shipping a PC but click and collect is a winner for me.

    • +1

We have had an insane amount of pickup orders

      • do you guys also do computer repairs? Ty :)

        • +1

We definitely can! We haven't worked out our services yet but we can sort something for you. Shoot us a dm!

  • GG my man. Well played.

  • How does it work with windows not being activated? How much does it cost to activate?

  • Awesome value machine, can you do a layby scenario?pay $x week till paid off?thanks

    • +1

Sadly, we cannot offer that on the particular build. If you have PayPal you can Pay in 4 though.

  • Continuing to pump out quality deals. Can't wait to see what you do in the 4080 space.

  • +3

    @enigmapc
What's your most boring PC case? (Considering this config, but do not want a case with mesh/glass side or anything with RGB.)
Just need a plain looking and quiet PC sitting on the desk.
    TIA!

    • We don't have a case without tempered glass for this build.

      • Thanks!
