Terms and conditions:

  • This promotion is open to members that successfully activate the bonus offer as directed by Cashrewards (“Eligible Entrants”). To qualify for the $5 bonus, Eligible Entrants must first activate the offer, then purchase a gift card from Cashrewards Gift Cards store on Tuesday 25 June 2024 between 00:01am - 11:59pm AEST (“Promotional Period”) with a minimum face value of $50 (incl. GST) ("Qualifying Purchase").

  • A Qualifying Purchase excludes the purchase of gift cards directly from a merchant store. Bonus will be approved in the Eligible Entrant's Cashrewards account within 7 days of the associated Qualifying Purchase being approved.

      It's a gift card purchase. Fraud is enormous on them. Wouldn't you prefer a company use 2 factor on your card if you lost it…

    There was this one time, I dropped $2 in a gutter,
    it then got a roll on, picking up speed until it hit a storm water grate, it sat there and spun for a little, then it fell through the crack down under the grate.
    I tried to reach it with my hand but I was unable to.
    Rain started to settle in, only ever so lightly, but enough to be annoying and start to make things wet.
    I found a stick and was able to move the coin closer to where I could reach it easier, I then tried to get the coin again, but my arm was still too short (well it wasn't short it was too big to fit through the grate)

    So I went back home, only a few doors away, got my son to come back with me, he had much skinnier arms then me, so he got down in the gutter, reached in and was able to retrieve the $2 coin. Success, we have obtained the $2.

    Anyhow moral of the story, getting this $2 was less effort than it is to get this $5 from Cashrewards, which is still estimated approval of 90 days..
    But to their advantage, I didn't get wet in the process so there is that.

    WTF I used to spend 30 seconds to earn $3 from $30 giftcard from CR. Now this is 5 mins to earn $5…………….. Company usually upgrade their system to impress or improve customer experience, not downgrading the system to piss people off

    I tried to verify my credit card and I entered $0.01. It failed twice so I tried $0.1 and still failed so I gave up.
    Login my credit card to check and there is a $1.54 pending VERIFY AUTH transaction? So weird

    Not as easy as usual but I managed to get it done. The whole process feels sceptical. If it's not from CR I'd mark it as scam website and won't give it my card info.

    So I activated the offer and was going to buy a gift card this morning but didn’t get a chance. I’ve now got $5 pending on my account.
    I’m still going to buy now but they have never done that before.

      That has been the case whenever I activated a bonus offer in my account and there were several last year when TA was there. The bonus amount will show pending and then rejected if no purchase is made. This rejection has confused some members who didn't buy but activated the offer, as they forgot they didn't buy and were expecting a bonus.

        Yeah and they never gave it a description so you have no idea what bonus it was for. Suggested to them years ago to add a description but nope.

    the issue is min withdraw is $10 and given I have not used them in the last year prior to this deal, that $5 is gonna be stuck in there for ages.

      You could get Amaysim through CR, however it may take up to 82 days to pay out.

      • $9.75 cashback on $10 (normally $30) SIM
      • $13 cashback on $15 (normally $40) SIM
      • $24 cashback on $24 (normally $50) SIM
