Offt - my bad, Mondayitis got me good.
That's a great price, almost like mid 2023 :) .
Last I checked, these are pretty good at achieving the full SATA speed without throttling.
Code is not working for me, looks like targeted or expired?
Appears for me. Though it looks like it could be targeted.
Here are some of the terms:

you can get 4T NVMe SSD with the same price https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/852867
aside from interface differences, is there any reason to purchase the 870 over 790?
no
Wouldn't you be better off just buying the Lexar drive? Given you got 2 NVME SSD slots?
It depends, Im looking for a 4TB SSD for my synology that takes SATA. Using as a scratch drive.
Note: if you purchased the Samsung 990 PRO with Heatsink 4TB from the previous deal, the code won't work as it's single use.
use a different account then
@RichardF89 Well assuming you have Prime across multiple accounts
I just bought one without prime still the same price
@RichardF89: Strange it's not showing up for me, even in incognito mode. Maybe it's targeted or sold out?
Awesome price. Just purchased thnx opz
Received my drive today. Bad disk and had to get a refund.. unfortunately no replacement from amazon. Will have to wait for the next sale
What do you mean bad disk?
bad sectors. Couldn't initialise the disk due to a cyclic redundancy check and after getting it scanned its a disk issue.
@WolfRedeemed: Did you check the date of manufacture, you be interested to know if it's still an issue
@reactor-au: Was 2023! Thought they resolved their manufacturing issues :(
@WolfRedeemed: Good to know, thanks!
Thanks, got one! Wish I could have bought ten.
Just beware about these drives. I had two and both developed corruption / data loss after about 18 months. Don't store anything valuable on them, especially without a backup.
same here!
That was supposedly a a few batches from 2020/2021, same with some other Samsung models from about the same period.
My second RMA'd 970 was from 2023 - Samsung have been basically full of shit when it comes to admitting how widespread the issues are
Interesting, what's the manufacture date on the last one?
I had the same issue
Sorry for the data loss but great for me to learn. Thanks!
Any idea if issue was patched by firmware update, please?
No firmware update fix. Likely a bad batch of NAND chips. Problem was it didn't arise until over a year later.
I wouldn't touch Samsung anymore. Just got back my Second 970 RMA and my old man also has 2x 980s to be RMA'd
Does Cashrewards apply when using promo code?
It still surprises me that nvme and sata are the same price.
Mhmm… "1 Lithium Ion batteries required."
Got it last year for $284
I paid AUD $500 last week.
:(
Expired :(
Do these SSDs have cache on board?
If we could just get 4x the space for the same price…..
Anyone know where else this can be bought for a similar price? Have been eyeing off getting one (probably a 2TB) but a 4TB for a similar price would be ideal.
There are currently no good deals on 4TB 870 EVOs and I don't expect there to be soon.
According to legend, last year there was some sort of oversupply of NAND chips. So all the NAND chip makers got together and decided to make less and now the price is what it is. So the likelihood of these deals cropping up is going to be few and far between and it seems like the likelihood of jumping on a deal is going to be tricky.
that is unaustralian !
Hey everyone, these are back in stock at the moment
Mine still have received and just received a refund from Amazon. The tracking shows still in UK
