Great price thank you. Picked up a couple for a micro I’m about to reinstall.

    Thanks

If i have intel gen 9 with gtx 1050ti 16gm ram will it get better if i upgrade to 32gb?

    • +1

Depends on your workload. If you're using nearly all the 16gb, then having more helps. Otherwise, not much difference.

    • +2

If that's single stick of 16GB - yes, adding another 16GB for dual-channel will bring performance improvements beyond just the RAM increase.

    • Always worth having more ram. Leave more tabs open for longer and stuff before you run out.

    • this is a laptop sized ram (SODIMM), not desktop ram, would it work for you?

  • +1

    Cheap as nice find

  • +1

Thanks, bought 2 to upgrade my mini-pc to 32gb

    • Would Optiplex 7069 mini be compatible, by the looks of configs it does, just wondering if you happen to have the same pc

      • No idea sorry, mine's one of these.

  • Thoughts on mismatched ram sizes in 1235u laptop (8gb soldered)?

    • +1

Practically speaking single channel ram isn't the end of the world. I'd stay at 16gb however if you aren't capping it out however.

More ram only helps (generally) if you're running out.

    • +1

      i am using 8 + 16

      95% no issues

      • Thanks mainly worried if it stuffs the iris xe…
But don't like closing chrome tabs lol

      • It's still dual channel technically, only the first 16GB has the extra bandwidth, once you go beyond that the RAM throughput slows down a bit. I believe it sufficient for Intel XE graphics but I may be wrong

  • wtf OOS

    • how did that happen???

Is that meant to be Winnie the Poohs ass, or is it just an orange ass with a red shirt?

      • +2

        Lick it and find out.

        • It's been a while since I licked Winnie the Poohs ass so I wouldn't be able to remember the difference anyway.

  • i saw the post, ssh'd to my server, checked the physical usage, came back to buy two sticks, gone.

thanks, managed to snag a couple for my proxmox micro :D

  • +2

It’s not the fastest RAM, recent Intel and AMD DDR4 run at 3200MHz, these are just 2667MHz

    • Will anyone notice any difference?

      • +1

only those who need to feel the difference

  • +1

    Thanks.

10% cashback from SB (or beat at TCB) right now too?

  • Out of stock. Hesitated for a minute, damn!

    • In and out of stock. Just managed 3 less than 5min ago.

  • +2

111 sold. A lot of 2020 laptops/nucs getting an upgrade next week.

Sheeeh which one of you bought 50 off them!?

        • ah leetec edited comment as I was replying, now its completely out of context :D

          • +2

@bamzero: the same guys bought another 50 lots, now is out again

            • @leetec: 😒 Hopefully another restock for those that missed out.

            • +2

@leetec: Always has to be someone that ruins the party lol

@shiprekt: One of those refurbishing notebooks, suspect.

  • annnnd it's gone. Wow.

Wonder if this was compatible with a Synology DS920+

edit: Seems like most have reported "no" but using in DS220/DS224/DS423
    Synology RAM Compatibility List Responses

    • Single or dual rank? Synology requires dual ranks from memory

      • This Kingston was dual rank according to the Kingston site.

    yep just bought a couple!!

  • Was checking ram on my lenovo tiny and come back oos. Well it is only used 1GB/8GB so missed out is all right.

    • Repping the m920q?

      • M700q I think. It current single channel 8GB 2133Mhz

  • Nearly bought but my NUC doesn't support 2666Mhz.

    • +1

They are backwards compatible, will just run at whatever the max speed it can handle.

      • Only says 2133/2400/3200

        • +1

I'm not an expert but I think you can run the RAM at whatever speed you like? they're just rated for 2666. That's how overclocking works right?

          • @Llampy: Unsure TBH but for $29 why not try. Thanks for the replies.

    • It will downclock as needed AFAIK

  • +4
    • You can try but I think the stock level tracking on Catch aint so good so expect a cancellation (unless they have more stock and haven't updated eBay again yet)

      • +2

I missed it on eBay and bought 2 on Catch.

Same price on their own website as well but have not try purchase

Thanks, just purchased, no issues at checkout, free shipping in Melbourne

A few mins ago, according to their site they had 417 in stock. Don't know if it takes in to account the ones just sold on eBay (212 sold in the last 24 hours) so might be good to go..

Although just refreshed and down to 311 now (I wonder if the multiple 50 lot eBay buyer is hitting up the website now)

(Back in stock on eBay now too)

        • Where on their site does it tell you stock?

          • +3

@sssx: Add a crap load to cart, if it's more than they have it will show what's available.

            • @bamzero: That is handy trick.

Sorry, we don't have enough 'Kingston 16GB DDR4 2666MHz KVR26S19D8/16 SODIMM RAM Laptop Memory - NEW (KVR26S19D8-16)' in stock to fulfill your order: we have 296 available. Please change the quantity on order in your shopping cart and click update. Then try to checkout again.

  • Would have got it if it worked in 920+ Nas. Bugger

Dell Optiplex 7060 micro compatible with unknown existing 16Gb RAM?

    • +4

according to dell website these are compatable

    • +1

I bought 2 of these for my 7060mff - sometimes ram has troubles mixing brands so I decided to err on the safe side.

Guess I've now got the existing ram spare in case I find a future use for it… maybe this was a bad decision haha.

Sticker on my existing ram says it's a Micron 1x16gb mta16atf2g64hz.

  • +1

This seems to be going in and out of stock, so if you miss out, just come back in a bit…

  • -1

It appears a lot of carts are expiring or they are adding a lot of stock. I just bought 3 more over two transactions (after a mad scramble to check how many slots this pc has)

  • +1

Thank you, bought for my old horse t480s as spare laptop.

  • +1

good deal! these are usually $60-$95 on other sites :o

    OZBARGAINED!

    Buy now, think later 🤣

Ebay was out of stock, managed to order one direct from their website. Even there only one qty was in stock. Thanks guys.

Lets see if my laptop is compatible with this or not. Fingers crossed.

  • Sold out both on eBay and website. Catch has a much higher price. Hopefully it comes back in stock tomorrow, but with almost 500 sold on eBay alone, I'm guessing they are probably oversold either way

  • the more you buy

  • Out of Stock

mine 2 orders on ebay got tracking number just now no info about my catch order

    • +2

Same here for a purchase from their website!

Just needed one to add to the mini PC setup, hopefully it will come in stock again.

  • Rep, possible to do a deal on 32GB DDR4 3200MHz?

  • +1

Ordered via Kogan with my Kogan credit and it’s been dispatched.

    • Did yours have the "5% OFF AT CART" label?
Mine did, but was not actually discounted in the cart. Other similar items I tested, did get discounted in the cart.

    • can you share the kogan link? thanks

This is the item I bought, which is out of stock now, and no longer shows the "5% OFF AT CART" label.
I did take a screen shot when I ordered showing the label.

If you search Kogan for "kingston 16gb ddr4" almost all the other results still show "5% OFF AT CART" label"

  • +1

Watching in case it comes back in stock.

    • dang miss out

  • +3

I bought a DDR4 16GB SODIMM for my ThinkPad back in 2016 and it costed me $169. Time flies, huh?

    • I have really old laptops but good to hear the form factor hasn't changed like CPU sockets

  • +1

    OOS

ordered a bunch got 4 delivered and one of them is used samsung ram :(

    • Got mine today, reported as sk hynix by cpuid (and by the sk hynix chips seen on the ram), manufactured in 2020, exact same part number as the generic that came with my dell (2019). The PCB looks slight different though. Now I got an almost perfect matching pair.

Running windows mem test at the moment. Too lazy to make a memtest usb stick…… Nothing could go wrong right?

  • +1

    What to do you know…!
Ordered 4 sticks (didn't want to be too greedy)…
Arrived as describe.. four new16gb 2666mhz kignston sticks.. still sealed…

I noticed they are out of stock and the price has increased to $45 per stick…

  • +1

    Arrived with seal broken…
