Samsung S24 Plus & Any 1 Accessory from $1168.69 (with $200 Live Chat Discount Code & 5% off First App Order) @ Samsung App

510

Promotion from Samsung for EOFY sales.

Confirmed working for 256GB Samsung S24+, but I believe this would also work for S24 and
S24 Ultra. Requirements, purchasing via Samsung app for 5% off and getting a discount code (can easily be get via asking live chat). This method does not include trade in value, and trade in bonuses (extra -$100). The live chat code giving an extra $100 off when adding an accessory is not explicitly stated, however worked for me (did this a few days ago). If cheaper accessories are available, this price could be lower (I have not checked).

Original price: $1699

  • EOFY sale, -$200, $1499
  • Asking in live chat for S24 EOFY discount code, -$200, $1299
  • Adding on an accessory, for example Anti Reflecting Screen Protector, +$31.20, however adds a further -$100 because of the live chat code, $1230.20
  • Purchasing via app, 5% off, $1168.69

Voucher applied! Thank you for adding an eligible accessory to your order. Your exclusive EOFY discount on your Galaxy S24 Series device has been applied. Voucher expires 30.06.24. Promotion was applied to your order total

I think the samsung promo / deal when the phone first got released was better,

You get double the storage for same price
    and get bonus stuff.

    • +4

Their pre-order deals are always best. Got my S24U 512gb for cheaper than this deal.

      • +1

yeah that is why this is not that good of a deal

better to wait for the S25 pre order next year which is not long to go anyway..

        downside of preorder is
you are a mass market consumer beta tester for samsung for problems they didn't catch from internal testing.

        • True.
And the annoying part is that we get Exynos chipset and Isocell camera, both which are usually inferior to the Snapdragon chipset and Exmor camera.

To top it all off, there is almost zero chance of taking control of the software. If you're happy with the OneUI Firmware, sure. But if you wanted root access, or maybe to flash your own OS, well you are out of luck.

The S24+ is definitely the better phone against the Google Pixel 8 Pro. At basically everything except that last nugget about software support.

Yeah and im guessing you traded in an S23 ultra like eveyone but forgot to mention it here 😏

        • +1

Yeah and im guessing you traded in an S23 ultra like eveyone but forgot to mention it here

Not sure what your going on about here.. or what is your point.

If you frequently check Samsung deals/promos on ozbargain or Samsung site,
It is well known that you need to trade in a phone (that samsung accepts) to get bonus discounts and to achieve the lowest price with code stacking …

          I didn't trade in any S23 ultra.
Why would I need to mention anything?

        • -1

No I had a $1 trade in (just a random IMEI generator). I sold my S23U on FB marketplace for more than I purchased the S24U. You guessed wrong.

  • EOFY sale, -$200, $1499
Asking in live chat for S24 EOFY discount code, -$200, $1299

you mean trade in on the first one?

    • +1

Seperate to trade in bonus, this was just a code that gave -$200 when I asked for a further discount, that also gave an extra -$100 when adding an accessory. Trading in I believe would give a further bonus discount.

      • Is there any further information about this $200 discount code? How did you find that they are giving away these codes?

        • They asked if I had a trade in, I said I didn't have one, I then asked for a further discount and they provided the code. My guess looking back is that this will only be provided if you don't have a trade in

  • How much is the 24 Ultra after discount and 5% off? Would Samsung EDU site be cheaper?

    • I guess so.

    • +3

      Galaxy S24+ 256GB $1189, Galaxy S24 Ultra 256GB $1539 without any discount code.

  • Samsung trade up only gives me "in-store" trade code

Is anyone else experiencing this? Or know a work around to get the online code?

    • Done use the app. Use the website when checking out

      • Thanks will give it a try

    • +1

Add trade in before check out.

Anyone still on the S10? Or older?

I see no reason to replace my S10. No complaints at all.

    • The battery is what took down my s10. 3400mah and a 6.1 screen doesnt leave much room for battery degradation.

      • When did it start to go bad?

Mine still seems to last a day, it's not something i worry about.

        • I gave up on mine late last year. Battery would only last 5 or 6 hours with maybe 2 hours of actual active use it was starting to become a pain when I was going for multi-day hikes. I cashed in on the S23+ deals at the time for $700 so it was a worthwhile upgrade for me.

        • Im on my second battery (OEM and installed by samsung) and it took about 2.5y to get so bad that i couldnt do it anymore. Had to take a external battery everywhere i went.

      • +1

Being a Samsung you should be able to get it changed at basically any shopping plaza phone repair kiosk

        • +1

You can but the battery was never great when new anyway, its stuck on Android 12 and security patch from March 23. I almost got to the 5 year mark and one cant argue with that.

    • +4

Yeah it is insanity upgrading every year or even few years, what are people doing that needs an upgrade often, websites, social media and videos can be run by a potato. They try to force obsolescence as batteries have a limited life but many of the models can replaced still.

Imagine throwing away your laptop every year and all you do is spreadsheets. Why is this cool for phones, they dont even have status symbol anymore kids have top end models and they all look the same.

      • Most people when the S24 ultra came in all traded their s23 ultras and all seemed happy couldnt imagine trading in every year lol

My Mrs is still on her S9 and she won't let me buy her an S24

      • +1

she sounds like a keeper and financially frugal

Why buy if she feels no need to upgrade

      • I will let you buy me an S24. You can even call me your Mrs.

        • You can even call me your Mrs.

You gonna need to do more for him than allow him to call you Mrs..

I am talking about : cook, clean and engage in sexual acts

      • My Mrs had an S9 but it was slowly dying. Battery life was crap a year after changing it and it needed constant restarting. Used the edu store to get a new S24 for $800, and then tax depreciation in a couple of weeks.

    • +1

I am still using S8+, no problems

      • No security updates. No internet banking.

        • -1

Internet banking has been fine for me, I think it depends on the bank.

And I think security updates are overblown. You may not be able to connect to your organisation's applications like Teams, but I don't care about that. Just don't go on dodgy websites.

          • @smartProverble: problem is the bank App may need update in order to run..

            • @pinkybrain: Maybe. There's always internet banking too / banking via the web browser, than downloading an app. And some banks don't even have apps.

              • @smartProverble: most of the big and well known banks all have apps..

not sure which bank you referring to that does not an app.

Internet banking via a web browser on your small screen phone will be crap..
rather just do it on my desktop

                • @pinkybrain: Unless the bank is rubbish, the website will be 'mobile first'… as in look good on a small screen. All modern websites are mobile first, when's the last time you've seen a website that looked rubbish on mobile.

Rabo Bank doesn't have a bank app for certain customers.

Anyway whatever. Your concerns regarding security updates and 'no internet banking' are moot to me. Vote with your wallet, I'm fine with my S10.

                  • @smartProverble: but on web browser you need to input your password each time..
that would be annoying to do each time

the app you can just login with a pin or touch ID..

Rabo Bank doesn't have a bank app for certain customers.

                    what are you talking about?

Anyway whatever. Your concerns regarding security updates and 'no internet banking' are moot to me.

yeah you told us how you feel about security

And I think security updates are overblown.

                    • @pinkybrain: As i've peviously stated, Rabo bank app doesn't work for certain customers. Reading comprehension. I am one of them. I have to use this archaic 'digipass' device to log in, and with that you can't use the app… or something like that. I've called them up.

Yeah security. No security issues, ever, for me, I don't visit dodgy websites or download random crap, just simple basic online safety measures. And $1000+ in my pocket for groceries and bills.

Have fun with your fully secure phone and bank apps. They certainly make a difference.

                      • @smartProverble:

but you still need to login with your complex password each time..
before you input the digipass code..

I would imagine that would get annoying fast..

What's fun about banking app or security?

This is just about efficiency vs your archaic method..

I don't visit dodgy websites or download random crap,

Security is not just about not visiting dodgy websites or download random crap..
Legit websites and companies get hacked all the time e.g. databreach of optus, latitiude financial etc..

There's a reason why Samsung, Microsoft, Google, Apple issues security updates to their OS..
There are exploits and zero days that hackers take advantage of..
If a company stop putting out security updates for an older version of the OS, then you are on your own if you get hacked..

Live chat gave me a $300 discount code for the S24 Ultra when I told them i don't have a trade-in, samsung EDU nor a commercial login. The discount code can't be used with trade-in or any other codes. It will work though with the 5% discount through app.

    • so what's the final price?

  • Is the Aus version of the s24+ Exynos or Snapdragon?

    • +4

      Exynos

    • Which is fine for 90% of the population I almost get two days battery on mine, similar to my Mate 20 pro but with higher refresh rate screen

  • For EPP store chat reps are giving out $100 voucher and a free Watch5 Pro if you complete the transaction and share order id on chat. Please note Watch5 Pro will be added to your order by the Samsung chat rep.

    • Last time I tried lice chat in education store they said they can't give a voucher as the prices are already discounted

    • So this voucher is after you purchase the phone? That means you have to buy something else with it?

      • You have to add 1 accessory to your order and then the $100 discount is applied.

    • Has anyone else received a free watch5 via the EPP store recently?

    • +1

What's the golden line you say to live chat to get the free watch? I've tried many times but every rep I get keeps saying that there's no further discounts or offers.

      • I just asked for a loyalty coupon and the rep upfront offer Watch5 Pro if I complete the order and share the order ID.

  • Thanks! Was looking for a new phone. Just purchased.

    Thanks OP
