Good to see ATL in general. Upvoted!

  • Great tv. Great price

  • As a loose comparison, I got my 2022 year 55" for sub 900.

    • That was the education store deal wasn’t it? Prob stacking a trade in?

      • Actually it was stacking codes with trade in on the normal store. Edu store came out more strangely.

    • I ordered one from one of those crazy deals and had it cancelled :(

      Mine is 75inch 2021 for 1,200.

      • Where did you source that from?

  • Why don't Samsung use Google? They do with their phones. Mmm…

    • I have tcl google tv, really slow. I have to turn off some features to make it run smoothly.

      • Which features have you turned off?

        • +1

Animations, automatic video playback, uninstalled unnecessary apps, turn on Quick ON/start

      • What model TCL? Probably a low spec entry level model.

        • +1

Is tcl C845 75inch an entry level for you?

  • Any time I see that XXY I'm disappointed it isn't the SEXXY model

amazing TV for gaming. I have a 2021 65" I got from Samsung couple years ago for $930 (loyalty discount trick). paired with an Xbox Series X, gaming is a joy. watching TV is awesome too

that was such a fun time. I was having issues deciding which TV to get, and ended up ordering 3 because the deals were getting better every week 😁 had Sony OLED "damaged box" option, had QN85B but then learned it was IPS, big no-no for my setup, and then ended up grabbing 2021 Frame when it popped back in stock. took a while to get money back for things I didn't end ip keeping, but was totally worth it! Ozbargain way

and 3 months before that I bought a Frame 2022 55" which was awesome but I made an executive decision that it's too small for immersive gaming experience lol

    • I'm surprised you landed on QLED for gaming as VA panels usually have garbage pixel response times. So you get dark level smearing.

      • +2

not this one, response time has been solid as. check rtings below

        https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/the-frame-2021

I don't know how they did it, but picture is crisp and pleasant. recent games I played include some high pace action scenes like Nier Automata, Division, Control, no complaints whatsoever. my other comparison is a 3070 rig with Gsync 144hz 4k IPS panel. I actually prefer playing on Xbox thanks to amazing immersion and deep blacks, response time is solid, no visible smearing. only play on PC what really needs a mouse input like MORDHAU lol

I got this last month for around that price which included shipping (matched mates staff discount + perks + %5 off via reward gateway)

Definitely account for delivery cost if you cant fit it into your car, its not recommended to be delivered lying flat.

Tizen honestly sucks, but it does have everything we need (youtube, stremio, catchup, plex)
for some reason we havent had a single advert in youtube yet but for anyone that enjoy tinkering, theres a project called TizenTube/TizenBrew that will block adverts.

Also everyone brings up that the TV is subpar every time a deal pops up, it looks great to me and we got it for the matte coating as we have lots of natural light in our living room

I had one of these in a holiday rental recently and it was utter garbage. Horrible backlight bleed, banding, basically every picture quality issue a TV could have. Was likely an older version so I hope they’ve sorted it out.

  • +1

Oh no! All the comments are like, "OMG, this is too pricey," while others are bragging, "Ooh, how smart I was to get it for a lower price than all these!"

    • it is a bit pricey for what it is (equivalent of Q70 of the same gen pretty much), and it can be had cheaper (previous gen), worth the wait.

but damn it looks super nice on the wall

  • +1

cheers got one today. They had the 2021 frame kits for $22 which they said would fit so got one to try out

    • What size TV? I'm after a 65" and the bezels are $149 from JB at that size

      • Yep 65.

He only had stock of the red 2021 one but it was $22.
Worse case I’ll just repaint it

  • Can you stack this with the $10 welcome credit?

  • I'm a little confused how you get this price. there's link to a 15% coupon deal which links to code giveaway but it comes up empty on my ozbargain app.
