What's the mandatory option of ticket "reservation" fee these days?

Webjet is the last place I would go to for plane tickets.

Was given some Webjet voucher from work before and $30 (from memory) of fees paid for "price protection" and is not optional.

  • The credit just about covers Webjet's fees

    • I just looked up a flight, for 1-way into Europe in July.
Webjet shows the same flight, but with a $40+ mark-up.

On payment page, I see this:
Webjet Booking Price Guarantee __ $21.95
      Webjet Servicing Fee __ $32.95

So, you could actually be right,… with the mark-up and fees, the same flight is almost $100 higher.

  • Are these the guys who refused refunds during the covid debacle

Received this deal on my Essentials card.

    Webjet isn't so bad.

I didn't think I would say that, but nobody forces me to buy from them anyway.
I use the search engine, as it's quite decent.

There's a small fee to pay for flights, booked/paid for, through Webjet,
but one time, I found flights cheaper through Webjet than on JetStar.

  • How is this interpreted?
*Save the offer to your eligible Card and spend $500 or more, in one transaction by 12/08/2024 to receive a $100 credit. *

    If I spend:
    Transaction #.1 — $100
    Transaction #.2 — $200
    Transaction #.3 — $350

Do I get the $100 credit, after Transaction #.3 ?

Literally says "spend $500 or more, in one transaction"

Edit: dont know how to do the JV bold.

    • +1

No, you don't. It's clearly saying "in one transaction". Otherwise, it will say "in one or more transactions".

        Sorry, @sakuratest and @Chinese ,

I read the T&Cs in my own AMEX portal,
but copy/pasted the T&Cs in this post at the top.

This is what it says in my own AMEX account:

Save the offer to your eligible Card and spend $500 or more, in one or more transactions, online or in-app on eligible purchases at Webjet by 12/08/2024 to receive one $100 credit.

Limited to the first 10,000 Cards to save the offer. Exclusions apply.

Yes mine says one or more transactions as well.

Save the offer to your eligible Card and spend $500 or more, in one or more transactions, online or in-app on eligible purchases at Webjet by 12/08/2024 to receive one $100 credit. Limited to the first 10,000 Cards to save the offer. Exclusions apply.

Right, you'll get the cashback after Transaction #3. As long as your total spend with webjet is more than or equal to 500. And you are right, the offer conditions do say 'in one or more transactions' but incorrectly mentioned in the post description as 'one transaction'

      • Thanks for that.
        That's what I needed a 2nd opinion on :-D

Gift card is on special on their website and you'll get 10% extra, not too bad if you can get a $550 gift card for just $400
    https://www.webjet.com.au/about/giftcards/

    • you can get a $550 gift card

Interesting set of denominations for the gift-cards:
      $100
      $150
      $500

And only able to choose quantity, one time only.

    • Interesting T&C for Gift Cards:

If the amount of your booking exceeds the value of your Webjet Gift Card, you will be prompted to pay the difference with an eligible Credit or Debit card only.
The remaining balance cannot be paid for with PayPal, PayPal Pay in 4 options (Afterpay, Paypal, Zip), Google Pay, Apple Pay, American Express Membership Rewards® or NAB Rewards.

  • I am looking for air tickets but I am becoming worried by reading various issues and fees being charge when booking via Webjet.

  • Is a gift card an eligible purchase?

    • Has anyone tried it?
