    • Great extra, I will add to the post

    up to 30% everything

    Up to? So not everything?

    • Yeah, it seems some items (mainly the mattresses) have higher discounts, majority of the discounts are reasonably hefty.

  • +4

Need over 50% off as it is still expensive

Bloody oath. Does anyone pay RRP for a Chinese roll-up mattress?

      • +4

It's to pay for all that marketing

From AFR "Koala narrowed its losses in the past year but its days as a high-growth start-up appear over, with revenue at the online furniture store falling in Australia to $124 million and rising just 2 per cent annually when its international businesses are factored in.

The company has extended and renegotiated its debts, but faces $48.8 million of convertible notes coming due by July this year, which will need to be repaid with a mix of shares and cash."

        Bruh. Never made a profit.

I tried a referral code, it doesn’t stack to the % discount. Sofa bed was also an additional $85 delivery. Reviews are good on the site but I read they incentivise positive reviews. Thanks for the cash back tip, still expensive but might get me over the line.

    • I've got the lounging sofa and it's great if you don't need the sofa bed, I've fallen asleep on mine quote a few times. (also their mattresses are great)

    Learner post seems sus.

But their sofa beds are pretty good. Mate has the Byron one but it was called something else few months back. The sides are a bit flimsy though, rather have thicker ends and cup holder for movie nights with bed folded out.

Member since 2022, highly unlikely that’s sockpuppeting.

Was shopping for a mattress for my kid and saw it, zero affiliation to Koala :) mostly just a lurker here tbh

  • How do these mattresses compare to Ikea pocket spring ones for anyone who has tried it?

    • Better than IKEA. Had to take my back after 2 years it was sagging so bad in that middle

      • +1

Oh wow I have a decade old ikea hovag but I haven't experienced any sagging

    • +1

Been using ikea mattress for 7 years, no sagging at all.

  • Sleeping Duck Mattress is great..

  • Any parents with reviews on the Joey bed?

    • +1

We bought one back in March and we're happy with it. Mattress is firm but comfortable and toddler seems to sleep well on it (or as well as a toddler does). Like that we can raise the height as he gets older. Obviously too early to comment on longevity but it seems well made and the rest of our Koala stuff has held up well over the years, so assume this will be the same.

  • Is it max $180 Shopback per transaction? Two separate transactions = two cash backs?

  • Anyone tried Koala Luxe Mattress before? How's it for firmness?

  • +4

We have the cushy sofa bed, whilst it is comfortable when using it as a bed, it is stupid as a sofa. Every time you sit on it, the base part you sit on slides toward the front, and you find yourself constantly having to pull it all back into shape. It is essentially a mattress with splits thats been folded, and nothing holds it in place.

Also very little back support so unless you're lying down its not terribly comfortable. I personally wouldn't recommend it, especially given its not cheap.

    • thanks for this, was considering the sofa bed but will stay away now

The Byron looks to have Velcro to stop this from happening.

    • Same experience for me. Poor design and annoying to sit on.

      • Would a bit of Velcro fix it? What size seater is yours?

        • It actually is velcro'd at the base, but as the mattress folds over itself in couch mode it slides forward when you are sitting/lounging. Bit of extra Velcro might improve but not sure if it would fix it 100%.

Promocode 'INSTAGRAM' for an additional $100 off (min spend $1000) - looks like it expires midnight tonight based on the T&Cs

Hope this is helpful for anyone making a purchase today

    • Would that negate the ShopBack promo?

      • Yes that's what we wanna know!

      • +1

        i think it will

Shopback clearly say don't use code not list on shopback

  • Any comparisons to the ones sold at Clark Rubber? ~$1000 seems like a lot for a foam mattress

  • In theory the TopCashback highest cashback guarantee would beat this right?

  • Am I crazy for wanting to spend $956 on the Kirribilli bookshelf? Seems like a lot of money for a bookshelf but I do like the look of it.

  • FYI the cashback is now showing 6% instead of 13%

  • I realy like the design of the Kirribilli Bed Base. Tried to find something like it at other stores like ikea but no luck. Does anyone know something similar to it with a more affordable price tag?

  • Referral Codes don't work on sale items :) WTF KOALA
