    Bold call, but Aaron Blabeys books have been getting worse and worse - the Bad Guys series is almost unreadable at this stage (speaking as a dad to young kids).

        I didn't mind them for a while. We're up to 11 and it's a hard slog now. I'm going to hold off reading them for as long as possible now.

        The initial concept was fun and they went on some interesting 'job' and introduced some other (mainly female) characters who were ok too. Then it all went to poo when Snake turned evil and got super powers and all this other stuff. Brutal reading imo without the fun 'hijinks' of the earlier ones. Sad

      That's a fair assessment based on the Kindle sample for the book.

      If your young kids are about 5 or a tad older, try Sam Cotton's Chippy Chasers. I'm hoping he releases another soon so I get a break from reading it over and over.

    My daughter got one of these through her school and it's very hard to read! I don't like it
