Was looking for eyedrops at Chemist Warehouse yesterday with the ShopBack deal but the shipping killed most of the savings. Found this instead.

$23.90 at Better Value Pharmacy vs $28.99 at Chemist Warehouse

$5 off for orders over $99 using the coupon code: WELCOME5OFF

$5 flat rate shipping for orders over $99.

Free shipping for orders over $120.

Can also try price matching at Chemist Warehouse. From experience, they sometimes put up with a fight (different state, delivery fee etc.).

  • What's the best eye drops or eye gels you have used? Thanks

    • Rohto Z Pro! Ice cold eyes. I love the pain, but it can't be good for me.

      • +1

I used to love these Japanese eye drops. It makes eyes really cold and comfortable. However I read some articles which mentioned that these Japanese eye drops could cause harm to eyes if you use it for a long term. Not sure if it's true or false. I have been using Genteal Gel which isn't bad. But I definitely miss the ice cold feeling from these Japanese eye drops.

        • Same but I could never find that brand again. I still remember that almost minty feeling when using the drops. Really refreshing!
Years later I now just use these Hy-lo Forte 2mg. Don't bother with the 1mg for almost the same price.

  • +1

I normally get chemist warehouse to pricematch this. https://www.davidjonespharmacy.com.au/hylo-forte-2mg-lubrica…. My local does it, ymmv, as a different one once told me the competitor must be in same state.

    • Never knew they price matched! Thank you friend!

  • These are the best eye drops for dry eyes, they were recommended by my optometrist. I've tried various brands and none can compete with how well this lubricates and hydrates. It also stays good for 6 months after opening even though it's preservative-free. it's annoying that my Chemist Warehouse no longer stocks in in-store and only sells online with no free shipping threshold.

This product is called hylo-gel other countries. If you are travelling you can get it cheaper. I paid about MYR 45-50 (AU$15-17) for a bottle in pharmacies in Malaysia. There's definitely a mark-up for the AU market.

    • Some google searches indicate that this is the same as Hylo Forte 2mg. Is this a marketing difference or is the product actually different?

      • It's the same product - I'm a long time user of Hylo-forte. Different product name in different countries for some reason, but it's the 0.2% Hyaluronic acid version which is the thicker one. The link I shared above is the German manufacturer's site.

  • Different product (eye wash) but in UK I used Optrex, a 200? ml bottle for about 10 quid, $20Aud-ish. Looked everywhere here to no avail.

  • Just walked into Chemist Warehouse (Camberwell, VIC). Showed the $23.90 link in this post for a price match and ended up paying $23.39 as they beat the price match.
